Exciting news for parents of Year 5 students!
We will be offering 𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒 for Year 5 children who are eager to join us in September 2027.

Aptitude Assessment The Priory Ruskin Academy will admit up to 21 students in Year 7 on the basis of their aptitude for Sport or the Visual Arts. Parents who wish to seek a place at the Academy for their child based on aptitude for Sport or Visual Arts should present their child for assessment.  

This term, Miss Newton’s Year 10 Hospitality and Catering students took on a creative food styling challenge using the much loved Tunnock’s Teacake.
Given just one teacake each, students transformed their treats using techniques such as added structure, colourful fruit garnishes, smooth coulis and even intricate sugar craft and chocolate piping.

A reminder that during Module 6, students may choose to wear grey formal shorts as part of their academy uniform. If opting for this, students must continue to wear appropriate coloured socks and formal school shoes at all times.
Further details about the academy uniform can be found on the school website.
Please note that this adjustment applies only to Module 6 each year. Students will return to the standard uniform for all other modules.
