We have worked hard to achieve this national award and have reached silver level in our first year of implementation. Well done to all staff and children for their fantastic success this year.

Two schools have earned national recognition for their work helping pupils develop essential skills for life and employment.

Yesterday we spent the day visiting our nearby village of Castle Bytham. Foxes and Squirrels class set off from school in the morning and walked across the Danelaw pathway from school to Castle Bytham. We studied the History and Geography of the locations and enjoyed a picnic in the park with parents too. We arrived back at school in time for a well earned drink and rest. My thanks to the Bytham’s shop for supplying us with ice pops!

The whole school spent a wonderful day visiting the National Railway museum in York. We looked at all of the exciting exhibits, sat in trains and even had our photo taken with our school’s special train - the Mallard!

We sent a squad to the local area basketball tournament. The team represented the school brilliantly displaying all the values and attitudes that we hoped they would. Their determination and talent shone through and they WON!! Well done to all, we are so proud of you.

Thank you to https://www.outtareach.co.uk/ for their help in creating and installing our new window designs. They will brighten up the front of school, reflecting our class names and also a space inside of school. We are proud of our school and our local area.

This week we have been practising our May pole dancing across school in readiness for our May fair on Saturday!
