This academic year we have been working on a brand new school film that showcases the meaningful work-related experiences and enrichment opportunities available to our pupils at Newton Bridge Academy.

This morning we were thrilled to take the stars of the film (our pupils and staff) to Savoy Grantham for a very special film premiere. They were also joined by some of our community partners who provide such incredible support to our pupils.

The pupils were thrilled to be movie stars for the day and are looking forward to showing you the film when it goes live to the public.

Daley Barber-Allen, Headteacher, said: “This was a fantastic event and a valuable opportunity to showcase the wide range of meaningful work-related experiences and enrichment opportunities available at Newton Bridge Academy.

I am incredibly proud of our pupils and staff, and grateful to our community partners for helping us create such memorable experiences.

A special thank you to the Savoy Cinema in Grantham for providing such a wonderful platform to share this work, and to Chris Lincoln at CIT for pulling the film together. It was truly special to see our pupils on the big screen.”

Bronze DofE Expedition Success 🌟

Last week, our Bronze DofE pupils showed fantastic determination and teamwork during their expedition. Some pupils camped overnight as part of the experience before completing the second day.

Despite an early start on Friday morning and very hot temperatures, all pupils coped brilliantly and showed real resilience throughout. We are incredibly proud of how they supported one another and rose to the challenge.

Experiences like this are at the heart of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, helping pupils to build confidence, independence and resilience. The expedition encourages teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance, giving pupils a real sense of achievement and pride in what they can accomplish.

A huge thank you also goes to the kind members of our local community who helped by refilling water bottles along the way, your support made a real difference and is greatly appreciated.

Well done to all involved!

A Fantastic Visit from Our German Partners – KBZO! 🇩🇪🇬🇧

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming pupils and staff from our German partner school, KBZO, for a memorable visit.

During their stay at the stunning Harlaxton Manor, our visitors experienced both school life and local culture. They joined a range of upper school lessons and visited Wyville, where they enjoyed forest school activities, including building bird boxes together.

The group also explored the local town centre, took in the rich history of Lincoln, and enjoyed a visit to the beautiful Belton House.

It was a fantastic opportunity to build friendships, share experiences and celebrate our international partnership. We’re now very much looking forward to visiting KBZO, with our trip beginning on 29th June!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY…

…to all the dads, grandads and those special people who play such an important fatherly role in the lives of our pupils.

Thank you for the love, care, encouragement and support you give each and every day.

We also know that Father’s Day can bring a range of emotions and may feel difficult for some members of our school community, so we are thinking especially of those for whom this day is not an easy one.

Wishing all of our pupils, families and staff a peaceful and happy Sunday.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
