The toddlers have made some delicious Chinese treats today
They used juicy tangerines to peel and divide into segments, they threaded them onto skewers to create a street snack called Tanghulu
They look scrummy Toddlers lovely job. It's lovely to see you embrace the Chinese new year celebrations

Toddlers enjoyed the celebrations of Shrove Tuesday.
The children helped to mix the batter for the pancakes.
Once cooked they tossed them in a pan
The best bit of the activity was eating the pancakes with some delicious berries

Preschool have been extending their knowledge of other cultures as they learn about Chinese New year. They created the head of a Dragon using creative skills to paint and use collage resources on a box. The children watched a Chinese Dragon dance then recreated it themselves using coloured scarves to save around.
After we enjoyed a lovely Chinese lunch which was eminent all the children and staff

Pancake day
Preschool made their own pancakes on Tuesday. They mixed the ingredients, once cooked they had a go at tossing them. They had so much fun.

Babies have begun the celebrations of Chinese New Year, the year of the Horse 🐴
They enjoy exploring cultures that are new to them and exploring differences within cultures. The food variations and the utensils they use.
The children have played in rice, they had lucky money envelopes, chopsticks of course as it's the year of the horse, they were also incorporated into play.
In the home corner we had PakChoy for the children to explore and peel, the aroma is lovely. Also we had Mark making with chopsticks and paint
We finished the morning with a delicious meal with the Chinese inspiration

Today we have celebrated pancake day. Babies have been engaged in activities that support their fine motor skills, mixing, stirring, filling and emptying, as they explore fruit in icing sugar creating marks with spoons and chopsticks.
The children enjoyed some tasty pancakes and fruit for tea

Babies are spreading the love this week. They have been busy engaging in sensory activities using various materials and media.
Whilst being engaged the babies have been looking at big and small, counting his many hearts we could find and talking about people who are special to us.
