🌱 Settling-In Season at Nursery! 🌱
Starting nursery is a big milestone — not just for your little one, but for you too! 💕 We know that leaving your child for the first time can feel daunting, which is why we take our settling-in process at their pace and make sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable in their new surroundings.
We offer a minimum of 3 settling-in sessions:
🧸 Session 1 – 1 Hour
Your little one will spend time getting to know their room, exploring and having fun with their new friends and key person. While they settle in, their key person or manager will sit with you to go through all of their important information, including All About Me forms, dietary information, care plans and anything else we need to know to make their time with us as comfortable as possible.
🌈 Session 2 – 2 Hours
The first hour is spent with you, helping your child feel secure and confident in their new environment. The second hour is their opportunity to spend some time with us independently, building that important bond with their key person and getting used to nursery life without you.
💛 Session 3 – Independent Settling
This session is completely without parents, giving your little one the chance to experience nursery independently and continue building their confidence.
Of course, every child is different! 🥰 These sessions are a starting point and may change depending on how your child is feeling and when they are ready. We will never rush them. We want them to feel happy, secure and confident before taking the next step.
And parents — we know you might be wondering “How are they doing?!” 👀📱
We are incredibly lucky to use Famly, our nursery communication app, which allows us to keep you updated throughout the day in real time. You can see:
