Wyndham Park Nursery School Children attend our outstanding nursery school from the age of 2 years old. We passionately believe in giving children the best start to their education

We are very lucky to be one of only five Local Authority maintained Nursery Schools in the county and the only Local Authority maintained Nursery School in Grantham and the surrounding area. This privileged position means that we are a ‘real’ school, with a Head teacher, fully qualified teachers and teaching assistants. We truly believe in our aim to excite, engage and educate our children. As a Nursery School we can offer the children the best possible start through a stimulating, practical and exciting curriculum, rooted in excellent early years practice. We believe that children learn best when they are motivated through a wide range of challenging and enjoyable activities. We carefully build on what they know and can do then help them to achieve their next steps of learning. We are very proud of our school and the standard of care and education we provide. Our school has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ in its last two OfSTED inspections. We believe children’s individual well-being is paramount and we ensure that children feel safe, secure and happy so that they can reach their full learning potential. We recognise that all children are different and learn in different ways with different interests. From the first day children start with us they can expect an outstanding education and they will thrive in our well planned learning environment.

All children at Wyndham Park Nursery School will bring home a voucher this week which will give your family free access to the gardens at Belton House to see Nigel working on our new sculpture.

When : Monday 21st September – Thursday 24th September
Time: Between 9.30am – 5.00pm
Where: Belton House, Grantham

This is a fantastic opportunity for your children to see the sculpture being created and to meet the talented artist bringing our school tree to life.
A huge thank you to our amazing friends at Belton house, National Trust for generously donating the timber and for allowing all of our families free access to see Nigel in action.
When you visit Belton House, please don't forget to take some photographs and send them back to us. We would love to share them with the children as the sculpture progresses and, with your permission, on our social media.
What an exciting opportunity for our children to help create something that will be treasured by Wyndham Park Nursery School for many years to come!

We are so excited to share some wonderful news with you! Over the coming weeks, all of our children will have the amazing opportunity to be part of a very special creative project here at Wyndham Park Nursery School.

As a school, we are excited to be creating a bespoke wooden Wyndham Park Nursery Tree sculpture, which will become the centrepiece of our new community garden at the front of the school.

As you know the tree is our school emblem and this beautiful sculpture will become a meaningful focal point for all of our children, families and the wider community.

The sculpture will be created from locally sourced oak timber (See photograph) , kindly donated by Chris Shaw who is the Lead Ranger at Belton House, National Trust.

The wooden tree sculpture will be designed and hand-carved by the talented wood sculptor, Nigel Sardeson. You may have seen the hand sculpture (see photograph) created by Nigel in Wyndham Park.

As part of the design process, the children will contribute their own drawings of minibeasts, which Nigel will carefully carve around the base of the sculpture.

We have been gathering all of the children's wonderful ideas through discussions, paintings, drawings and creative activities to inspire Nigel as he develops the final design. We can't wait to see the children's imaginations come to life and to watch this very special project develop.

What an exciting opportunity for our children to help create something that will be treasured by our nursery community for many years to come. We look forward to sharing updates with you as the project progresses!

😀What an amazing first week of term we have had!
It has been so lovely to welcome back all of our returning families and say hello to new families and children!

We are so proud of how well the children have settled in to nursery. They have been busy exploring new classrooms and making new friends!
