Looking for fun, affordable childcare during the summer holidays?

Manthorpe Preschool Playgroup Holiday Club is open to children aged 9 months to 11 years and offers a safe, welcoming and exciting environment packed full of activities throughout the summer! 🌈

📅 Monday 27th July – Friday 21st August 2026 - 🕗 8:00am – 5:00pm (Opening times may be subject to change depending on booking numbers.)

💷 Prices:

👶 9 months – 2 years: £8 per hour or £68 full day

🧒 2 – 11 years: £6 per hour or £50 full day

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 10% sibling discount available on additional children.

Another Friday visit to the forest garden today. The children helped to hang their forest activity work up that they enjoyed the other week, and are proud! Lots of general exploring for bugs & looking & feeling the different textures, as well as taking in the environment in our outdoor forest space.

We have had a fun day at holiday club, spending time in nature today. We made a nature frame and then we went for a scavenger hunt in the park. Look at some of the things we've found!

🍃🐞 Forest Friday Fun! 🐛🌿

Today our explorers went bug hunting in the forest garden. The children searched under stones and logs and discovered woodlice, slugs, worms, spiders and even a centipede! 🕷️🪱

We also shook a tree over a light-coloured sheet to see what tiny creatures might be hiding in the branches — the children loved observing what fell from the tree! 🍂

As we explored, we talked about habitats and why minibeasts like dark, damp and sheltered places to live. A wonderful hands-on learning experience full of curiosity, discovery and outdoor adventure! 🌳✨

Forest Friday fun in the sunshine! 🌿☀️

The children explored nature through flower perfumes, scented teas, magical potions, flower hammer prints, and bird spotting from their handmade bird hide. A morning full of creativity, teamwork, imagination, and outdoor learning! 💐🦜
