Chantry School

After 12 wonderful years, Chantry School is now closed.
We'd like to congratulate every single student we've been fortunate to work with over the last 12 years for their achievements. Whether you've pursued dance professionally or recreationally, may you always take with you the gifts that training in dance gives you - self-expression, artistry, creativity, team-work, discipline, dedication to name but a few.
We have so many wonderful memories from performing at MOVE IT, to Can You Dance, U Dance, on tour with Chantry Dance, Flashmobs, being featured on TV and Radio, having students perform professionally in the West End, in major ballet companies and more...the list goes on! We feel so blessed to have worked with such wonderful dance students.
We wish the very best to our Directors Rae Piper and Paul Chantry. Paul will be taking up a full-time post teaching ballet and contemporary in Germany. Rae will be continuing her professional choreography and performance career, but will still also offer some education work in the UK providing workshops, competition/show choreography and private coaching.
Thank you so much to all the team, students, faculty, volunteers, parents, supporters and audiences for making the last 12 years so special. We will miss you all but keep on dancing and always be the best you can be!

I couldn’t be prouder of you Bronze at the Dance World Cup in Classical Repertoire with your Franz Variation from Coppelia Act 1. You have been a joy to coach on this repertoire and your progress has been remarkable.

WORLD CHAMPIONS!
So proud of Matty and Ellie for winning their Classical Pas De Deux I choreographed for them at the and Matty also gaining second for his ballet solo (non-repertoire).
These two are dream students - they work so hard, listen to all corrections, and don’t shy away from big challenges. Having taught them both for around 6 years in both classwork and competition dances, I am so proud of the wonderful dancers and beautiful young people they’ve become.

What beautiful feedback! And thank you to for leading some fantastic classes this weekend. As we approach our last few Associate ‘watch weeks’, it’s lovely to welcome the students’ parents in to see how their children are progressing. We’re all familiar with the excitement of a show, but it’s the work in the studio is what makes the shows possible, and ‘watch weeks’ are a great way of sharing this other side of dance student life. Congratulations to all the Chantry students on your progress this year - we’re very proud of you.

Chantry Origins Youth Company had a fantastic rehearsal this weekend for their ‘Metamorphosis’ show. Their work is so mature, touching and beautiful!
