Little Gonerby CE Primary Academy

This morning, our Year 5 Junior Online Safety Officers completed their first training session. They were joined by the other student officers from St Sebastian's Primary School, Rauceby Primary School, Marston Thorold Primary School and Nettleton Primary School to learn all about the dangers of sharing personal information and online behaviours. We look forward to the next session soon!

The windy weather wasn't stopping our lovely EYFS children this afternoon. They had a great time in our outdoor area.

Wishing all of our families a lovely and restful half term. School begins again at 8.35am on Monday 1st June. ☀ ☺

Yesterday, Year 4 enjoyed a brilliant visit to Burghley House. First of all, we took part in a sculpture workshop, crafting our own dragonflies out of wire. It took a lot of resilience and patience as they were very fiddly! We then went off into the gardens and to the Garden of Surprises to find some amazing sculptures. The water features in the garden were a particular highlight! We finished off the day at the Adventure Playground. The children were fantastic at encouraging each other and pushing themselves to try new things.

This morning, we were visited by James from Grantham Tennis Club & Gym. All of the children from Years 2-5 took part in a tennis taster session. The sessions were fun and engaging and enjoyed by all! Thank you James! 🎾

Last week, our Year 3, 4 and 5 children represented our school at inspire+'s Cross Country event. Our children worked their socks off and tried their very best, but what stood out most was their resilience, teamwork and support of each other. We are so proud of all of them!

April is the Month of the Military Child, a dedicated time to recognise and celebrate the resilience, sacrifices, and unique experiences of children from Armed Forces families. To mark this very special month, we invited our military children and their families to take part in a special trail and afternoon tea at Wyndham Park. A big thank you to Wyndham Park Visitor Centre for hosting us!

We are excited to see all of our families for the start of the Summer Term tomorrow at 8.35am!

Yesterday, we held our Easter Fayre. A big thank you to all of our families for coming and to our wonderful PTFA for organising it. We have raised a grand total of £285.83!
