Elaine Bishop is a classically trained mezzo-soprano, singing teacher and musical director based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Elaine has built up a reputation as an accomplished performer with various UK and international companies at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival and was nominated 'Best Character Actress' for her role as Cousin H**e in 'HMS Pinafore' in 2011. Elaine has also performed with several professional companies on Gilbert and Sullivan works including 'HMS Pinafore' (Raymond Gubbay Productions), 'Trial by Jury' (Opera Minima) and 'Utopia' (Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company). She has sung in prestigious national and international venues including the Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican and St Paul's Cathedral (London), The Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), The Symphony Hall (Birmingham), Buxton Opera House, Usher Hall (Edinburgh), Cologne Cathedral (Germany) and many more. Elaine is a versatile singer and frequently performs in concerts, recitals and oratorios and for weddings in the local area and further afield. A new voyage is about to begin…

Join us this Thursday, 6th August at 7.30pm for
an introduction to our ‘Come and Sing’ event!

📍Grantham Prep School

We’ll introduce you to the music and the concept. Our Musical Director will also chat about the principal roles and what you’d need to do if you’d like to audition for them.

Children (ie under 16s) are also very welcome to join but we ask that they must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times

⭐ Could YOU take to the stage with Kerry Ellis?

This October, West End star Kerry Ellis brings her Rock Anthems tour to Blackfriars Theatre, Boston… and one talented young performer from our area could be joining her on stage!

Perform Now has once again teamed up with Kerry to find outstanding young soloists to perform during her UK tour, with successful applicants appearing at the venue closest to where they live.

To apply, you must:

🎤 Be aged 11–19
📍 Live within 45 minutes of Blackfriars Theatre, Boston
🎵 Be a confident solo singer
📅 Be available to perform on Thursday 15th October 2026

Simply submit a video introducing yourself and performing up to two minutes of a song of your choice.

🎶 Pop, Musical Theatre or Rock all welcome.

🗓️ Applications close: 15th August 2026

I have spent the weekend getting my vocal geek on and catching up with colleagues at the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) conference at the beautiful Fettes College in Edinburgh.

The latest vocal pedagogy, lovely colleagues and gorgeous sunny weather makes for a very productive weekend! ❤️
