📚 A weekend of bookish fun for the whole family!

The Wyndham Park Book Club Book Festival is bringing plenty of family-friendly activities to Wyndham Park on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September.

✨ Children can get creative by designing their own book cover
📖 Little ones can enjoy the Little Readers Book Club and storytelling
🔎 Take part in the book trail around the park for children aged 3 to 11, with a certificate, bookmark and sticker for everyone who completes it

And there’s plenty more to discover, with author talks, book swaps, displays and activities taking place throughout the weekend.

⏰ 10am-4pm
🎟️ Free entry, no booking required

Are you looking for a reception school place for September 2027? Join us on Friday 16th October at 9:30 for our Open Morning.
Meet the staff team, have a guided tour with our fabulous pupils and get a glimpse into the special place our school is - where we support all our children to be the best they can be.
We are an inclusive, single form entry school (no mixed age classes) with a fantastic large site.
100% of our parents would recommend us! (parent questionnaires from March 2026).
We also have wrap around care provided by the wonderful Ancaster Village Nursery & Forest School from 7:30 to 18:00.

As part of Class Identity, Class Chile have been learning all about Chilean artist Pablo Siebel and his unique artwork. 🇨🇱 🎨

The children summarised Pablo’s life, before looking closely at some of his artwork. They evaluated his artwork and shared their opinions.

Inspired by Pablo’s use of texture, colour and abstract shapes, the children then became artists themselves! They created their own abstract masterpieces, experimenting with hessian, oil pastels and corrugated card in the true style of Pablo.

The children have settled into Year 1 brilliantly! We’ve been busy learning all about France 🇫🇷 , creating beautiful French flags with finger painting and discovering the work of the French artist Henri Matisse.

Inspired by his famous artwork, The Snail, the children designed and made their own colourful creations. It’s been wonderful seeing their creativity shine! Today we had lots of fun in our learning and are so pleased to have started our first full week together! Well done everyone 🤩.

Today, in true Ancaster fashion, we came together to clap our incredible Year 6s out and wish them a fond farewell (for now!) 👏🏻 💙

What a privilege it has been to watch each and every one of you grow into the incredible young men and women you are today. You leave us as kind, caring, resilient and well-rounded individuals, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you have achieved.

As you take your next steps towards secondary school, remember to believe in yourselves, embrace every opportunity and never stop being the wonderful people you are. Dream big, work hard, be kind and have the courage to continue to make a difference!

Class USA, it’s time to start your next exciting chapter! We have every confidence that you’ll continue to achieve amazing things and help make the world a better place. Wherever your journey takes you, you’ll always be a part of our school family. Teaching you has been a true privilege and you have filled my year with so many amazing memories!

🌟 WellFest 2026! 🌟

What a fantastic day we had at our annual WellFest! 💚

This year’s theme focused on staying safe, with our children taking part in a range of engaging and interactive activities designed to help them stay happy, healthy and active.

Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed:
💧 Water safety sessions
🎭 Drama workshops exploring conflict resolution
⛑️ First aid workshops
🧘 Mindfulness sessions
🤝 Trusted adult discussions
⚽ Football skills
📣 Cheerleading
🎲 Active playground games

It was wonderful to see everyone learning new skills, building confidence and having so much fun along the way!

A huge thank you to our PTFA for organising a very kind donation of fresh fruit, vegetables and snacks from Sainsbury’s, giving all of our children a healthy and delicious treat to enjoy at break time. 🍎🍌🍊

Thank you to everyone who helped make WellFest such a memorable and successful day. Together, we’re helping our children develop the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe, healthy and happy—both in school and beyond! 💚

Today our wonderful Year 6‘s have been taking part in some secondary school transition activities 🇺🇸📚🏫

We have been having lots of conversations over the last couple of weeks about secondary school transition days, what to expect and how to be prepared. Today, we learnt a skill that many of the children will need… tying a tie! 👔 They were fantastic at working together to master their knots and make sure they were looking secondary school ready!

Class China 🇨🇳 have been very busy bees recently! 🐝

In Maths, we've been learning all about acute, right and obtuse angles. We used our Angle Monsters to help us hunt for right angles before taking our learning outside. The children had great fun creating their own angle animals, carefully identifying and naming the different types of angles they had included in their 2D shape drawings. 🦖 🐶

In Geography, we've been exploring the water cycle. We learned about each stage and used our knowledge to create our very own water cycle diagrams. The children worked incredibly hard and produced some fantastic, detailed work!💧☁️🌧️☀️

Well done, Class China! I am so proud of all your hard work! ⭐
