✨ Child-Led Learning at Kelly’s Cheeky Monkeys! 🐒💛
Every day the children get to choose what they want to explore and create. Some of the children asked to work on their diamond painting projects 💎✨, while others decided they wanted to get stuck into some slime and cloud sand! 🌈☁️
I love watching their ideas come to life and seeing them take the lead in their own learning. Whether they’re concentrating on a tricky diamond painting, experimenting with textures or creating their own slimey masterpieces, they’re learning through curiosity, creativity and play. 🥰

🫧🎲🌋 Messy Play Tuesday! 🌋🎲🫧

It’s Messy Play Tuesday and we’ve had so much fun! 🥰 The children enjoyed getting stuck into some messy play, exploring different textures and getting creative. 👐✨

We also had lots of fun playing games together, practising taking turns, following rules and cheering each other on. 🎲👏

Then it was time for a game of The Floor Is Lava! 🌋🔥 Lots of jumping, balancing and quick thinking as we tried our best to stay off the floor! 😂

A fun-filled day of sensory play, movement, problem-solving and plenty of giggles! 💕🐒

🎨🏫📚 A Day Full of Creativity & Learning! 📚🏫🎨

We’ve had a lovely day filled with creativity, imagination and lots of learning! 🥰

The children enjoyed getting creative with painting, exploring colours and creating their own little masterpieces. 🎨🌈

We also had lots of fun with school role play! 🏫✏️ The children took turns being teachers and pupils, using their imaginations and enjoying lots of conversations and learning through their play.

We then spent some time updating our floor book, looking back at what we’ve been doing and adding our latest experiences and learning. 📖✨

It’s so lovely watching the children take ownership of their learning, share their ideas and see their experiences reflected in our floor book. 💕🐒

👽💦🛝 Alien Rescue & Creative Fun! 🌈🧡

We’ve had such a fun and busy day of play, experimenting and creating! 🥰

The children had great fun sticking our alien suckers onto the slide 👽🛝 and then experimenting with different strengths of water to see what would be needed to wash the aliens away! 💦🔬 There was lots of predicting, testing and problem-solving as they tried different ways to rescue the aliens!

We also got creative with some bracelet making 📿✨, practising our fine motor skills while choosing colours and creating our own unique designs.

And of course, we couldn’t finish the day without some mud kitchen fun! 🌿🥣 Lots of mixing, scooping, pouring and imaginary recipes were being created. 🧪🌸

A brilliant day of STEM exploration, creativity, sensory play and imaginative fun! 💕🌈

🎉🐒 Something VERY exciting has happened at Kelly’s Cheeky Monkeys! 🐒🎉

I’m absolutely delighted to share that Kelly’s Cheeky Monkeys is expanding! 🥰💕

The CI has approved my variation request, which means I can now care for up to 7 children at one time! 🎉👏

When I shared the exciting news with the children, they were absolutely thrilled! 🥰 And there’s an extra special reason why… this means H, who already attends our setting, can now join us on a full-time basis! 💕🐒

It’s such a wonderful milestone for Kelly’s Cheeky Monkeys, and I’m so excited for this next chapter. Watching the setting grow and seeing the children’s friendships develop makes all the hard work so worthwhile. ❤️

Here’s to more adventures, more friendships, more laughter and lots more Cheeky Monkeys fun! 🐒🌈✨

🌿🔥 Back to Nature Day – Round 2! 🌿🔥

The children had so much fun on our Back to Nature Day last week that they asked for a repeat… so of course we had to do it again! 🥰💚

This time we met up with some of our lovely friends J, E, E and J and their mummies, and another fantastic day of outdoor adventures began! 🌳☀️

We had lots of fun swinging and relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying a lovely picnic, splashing and playing in the water 💦 and, of course, finishing the day with delicious s’mores around the fire pit! 🔥🍫

We also brought along some items from our mud kitchen so the children could get creative making their very own nature potions! 🥣🌿🪨💧 There was lots of mixing, pouring, stirring and imaginative play as they created their magical concoctions. ✨🧪

Another wonderful day filled with friendship, nature, imagination, adventure and lots of happy memories! 💕🌳

🌿🔥🧺 Back to Nature Day! 🧺🔥🌿

We had the most amazing Back to Nature Day at one of our favourite spots, joined by our lovely school friends A and H and their mummies. 💕 What a fantastic day we had!

There was lots of fun and adventure, from swinging and relaxing in the hammocks 🌳🪢 to playing hide and seek and exploring the great outdoors. 👀🌿

We enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch together 🍔🌭, followed by plenty of splashing and paddling in the water! 💦☀️

To finish off our perfect day, we gathered around the fire pit for delicious s’mores 🔥🍫 — definitely a favourite!

A day full of friendship, nature, adventure, yummy food and making wonderful memories together. 🥰🌿

🏃‍♀️🥚🎨🧺🌳 A Fun-Filled Day at the Park! 🌳🧺🎨🥚🏃‍♂️

We had such a fantastic day at the park with our friends! 💕 The children enjoyed their very own little sports day, with lots of excitement, laughter and friendly competition. 🏅

We had some brilliant races and an egg-and-spoon race 🥚🥄 — lots of concentration, cheering and giggles along the way! 😂👏

After all that running around, we slowed things down with some rock painting 🎨🪨, creating our own colourful little masterpieces. 🌈

Then it was time for a lovely picnic with our friends 🧺🥪 before finishing the day with lots of fun and adventures playing in the park! 🛝🌳

A wonderful day full of friendship, outdoor play, creativity, teamwork and lots of happy memories! 🥰💕

🎨🥛 Glass Painting Fun! ✨

A huge thank you to one of our lovely parents who kindly sent in some special paint for glass for us to enjoy! 💕

The children had so much fun getting creative and decorating their own glasses with colourful designs. 🎨🌈 They loved choosing their colours, experimenting with patterns and seeing their ideas come to life on the glass.

It was a fantastic activity for encouraging creativity, concentration, fine motor skills and self-expression — and the children were so proud of their finished creations! 🥰👏
