I'm finding instagram less and less useful so I'm diverting here for my knitting and crochet design. I popped into Catkins & Scraps, Ulverston and admired the lovely fabric and then over to Beadology to chat with Amanda about Autumn knitting classes. These sort of businesses are what make Ulverston such a great place to live. Now I'm home, sorting out fabric stash, and finding things I made ages ago, like a little embroidery, and a tea cosy, coached by my very patient cousin Janet Morsman

Had a totally marvellous yarny time at the .farmers.yarns yarn show with and . Here we are, clutching our fabulous , picture taken by Mr Riverknits himself.

I bought an embarrassing amount of yarn. It was all too lovely to leave behind.

We have now had two classes in crochet and have a lovely group of people, all keen to learn, and showing great aptitude. Photos of progress next week!

If you can do very basic crochet stitches, you are ready for the tapestry class. We will proceed at a very gentle pace, so don't be put off. The aim is to have fun, drink tea, make new friends and enjoy yourself. After the isolation of the last two years, we all need some fun!

I've been teaching knit skills at the Community Hub in Victoria Hall on Wednesday afternoons at 2- 4. Great group of ladies of all skills and abilities. We have learned about yarn and gauge, tackled circular needles and crochet and worked on breathing to relieve stress. Everyone has had a lovely time!
