The new school year is almost here, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Gowerton School!

📅 Pupils return for the autumn term on Thursday 3rd September.

A particularly warm welcome goes to all of our new Year 7 pupils — we can’t wait for you to become part of the Gowerton family!

And to all of our other year groups, we’re looking forward to seeing you again and getting another fantastic year underway.

Just a reminder that the school will be closed on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd September for staff INSET days.

What a fantastic GCSE Results Day at Gowerton School!

Today has been filled with smiles, celebrations and well-deserved success. The results achieved by our students are a true reflection of the hard work, perseverance and dedication they have shown over many years during their time with us.

We are incredibly proud of every pupil and all they have accomplished. Whether they are moving on to Sixth Form, college, apprenticeships or employment, we wish them every success and happiness in the future.

One of the highlights of the day has been seeing so many students choose to continue their education with us in Sixth Form. It has been incredibly heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm for the next stage of their journey, and we are delighted to continue supporting them in achieving their ambitions.

🎉 Gowerton School A and AS Level Results 🎉

Congratulations to our Sixth Form students on their achievements in this year's A and AS Level examinations. We are incredibly proud of all that they have accomplished.

We wish our Year 13 students every success as they embark on the next stage of their journey. Whether that be university, a gap year, apprenticeships, training, or employment, we hope you enjoy every opportunity and thrive in the path you choose.

To our Year 12 students, we look forward to welcoming you back in September for another exciting year.

Special congratulations go to Josh R (Year 13), who achieved the highest results in the school with an outstanding A*A* A A in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, and the Welsh Baccalaureate.

Well done to all our students and staff. Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have paid off.

A/AS Level and GCSE Results Days 2026

A/AS Level result day is Thursday August 13th 2026 & GCSE results day is Thursday August 20th 2026.

You can collect your results from the Main Hall from 8.30am – 11am.

If you are unable to collect in person, you MUST confirm to the Exams Officer in writing who will collect your results for you e.g., parent, sibling, friend, grandparent etc. Alternatively, please provide the Exams Officer ([email protected]) with your school email address & your results will be emailed to you on the 13th or 20th August.

Please note that results will NOT be given out over the telephone.

We are delighted to invite Year 6 pupils and their families to join us for a range of exciting transition events this September as we prepare for entry to Year 7 in September 2027. We are also inviting Year 5 families to visit us at our Open Evening.

Our latest literacy podcast is now live!

In this special episode, our Year 7 pupils introduce a pupil-led interview with Children's Laureate Wales, Nicola Davies, following her recent visit to our school.

After inspiring our Year 7 students with a creative writing workshop, Nicola sat down with our pupils to answer their thoughtful questions about writing, storytelling and the power of imagination.

Recorded during a busy break time, our Year 7 interviewers did a fantastic job of leading the conversation with confidence, curiosity and professionalism.

A huge thank you to Nicola for sharing her time, expertise and passion for literacy with our school community.

🏃☀️ Sports Day has got off to a flying start here at Gowerton School!

We're incredibly lucky with the amazing weather, making it a perfect day for competition and celebration. Even better than the sunshine is the fantastic support our pupils are showing one another—cheering each other on, celebrating every effort, and creating a brilliant atmosphere.

Well done to our Year 10 pupils who successfully delivered PSE lessons to our Year 7 and Year 8 students as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate Community Challenge.

They worked hard to plan and lead a range of engaging activities, demonstrating excellent teamwork, communication and leadership skills. It was fantastic to see them supporting younger pupils while making a valuable contribution to our school community.

A brilliant achievement by everyone involved, well done.
