Gateway Pre-Schools

Gateway Pre-Schools Gateway provides a range of services to children and families in the Gosport and surrounding areas, employing over 80 staff and looking after 500+ children

We offer a high standard of education in a stimulating environment, where all children thrive because they know that they are loved and valued for who they are. We seek especially to support, nurture and encourage the special partnership between nursery and home. We are a registered charity, so our first thought is always for the wellbeing of you and your child, not our bottom line. Our range of ‘

fair fees’ and funded places means more parents can access the high quality care we provide. We hope you enjoy browsing through and hope you capture a glimpse of the dedication and love we have for the work we do with young children and their families. Kim Beazley

All 3 and 4-year-olds who attend an approved Ofsted registered nursery, pre-school or childminder are entitled to receive up to 15 hours a week funded early years education during school term time (or 570 hours spread across the year).

These funded hours support young children to develop, socialise and prepare for school. Depending on family circumstances some children may also be eligible to receive more funded hours.

More info about funded hours here: https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/childrenandfamilies/childcare/paying-for-childcare/early-years-funding

Getting the hang of using the toilet is a big step for children as they prepare to start school. It boosts their confidence, helps them make friends, and means they can settle into learning without worrying about accidents.

Most schools ask that children are toilet-trained before starting reception because it supports important skills such as:

👕 Getting dressed
🤔 Solving everyday problems
💬 Using language to communicate their needs

Starting the process early can make the transition to school easier for both you and your child.

Follow the link in the comments for clear, practical guidance and support to help you toilet train your child with confidence.
