Firstly let me introduce my self I’m joseph mcveigh the founder of this championship and I just wanted to give some back story to how this all started and what lead me to create this championship.

I have just turned 18 years old and I have been involved in the karting world since I was 13. I started out at your local rental karting track like most drivers do, I soon found my passion after my first couple laps and I knew it was what I wanted to do since then on. As the months went by I started to find my self being extremely competitive and always wanting to win so I entered the BIKC ( the British indoor karting championship) which many of you guys will be familiar with. In this time I broke multiple lap records around the country at various teamsport tracks in the south, I then proceeded to win the regional finals coming first place in 2022 at teamsport Bristol, the following year 2023 winning this title again at teamsport Cardiff sending my self off to the national finals making my self a two times national finalist. that is my rental karting success I afterwards moved onto owner karting which is a story in its self for another time.

WHY I STARTED THIS:

As for some of you guys know especially if your somebody who does rental karting you will know owner karting is in reach for very few people due to the extreme cost some never get the opportunity due to this hold back.

I founded the plan b karting championship along with our sponsor with the intentions to give drivers competing in rental karting a chance at getting themselves seated in a owner go kart there are currently 5 total prizes involved in the championship all of these include owner karting opportunities (more information on are website) another Main reason for me starting this event was due to the fact there is not many rental karting championships around that offer these kind of prizes and opportunity’s for drivers competing in rental karting.
