π Mini Muffin Pizzas at Nursery! π
Today our little chefs had so much fun making their very own mini pizzas using muffins, pizza sauce, peppers, tomatoes, cheese, and sweetcorn! The children loved choosing their own toppings and creating a tasty snack to enjoy.
Along the way, they developed lots of important skills, including:
β¨ Hygiene awareness β washing hands before preparing food.
β¨ Fine motor skills β spreading sauce, sprinkling cheese, and adding toppings.
β¨ Decision-making & independence β choosing their own ingredients.
β¨ Language development β talking about colours, textures, and tastes.
β¨ Maths skills β counting toppings and recognising shapes.
β¨ Healthy eating awareness β learning about different vegetables and balanced meals.
The children were very proud of their creations β and even more excited to eat them! π§βπ³π

Today we explored a farm provocation. The tuff tray is set up with damp sand, cocoa powder, artificial grass, small wooden barn, wooden fences, pine cones and different farm animals.
The children explored the different textures of the damp sand and cocoa powder by running their hands through the sand and cocoa powder. They buried the animals by sprinkling the sand and cocoa powder over the animals. Also making animal foot prints by stomping the animals in the sand and cocoa powder. Some of us sniffed the sand with cocoa powder in it.
We named the farm animals saying βcow-mooβ, βsheep-baaβ, βpig-oinkβ, βhorse-neighβ.
We had lots of fun exploring different textures and the farm animals. ππππ
