Group or One to One Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction for the emergency services and armed forces

29/09/2024

If you’re on rest days tomorrow, you have a choice.

You can be like the vast majority, sitting on your arse, binge-watching Netflix or similar, or you can be in the minority who are investing time in learning how to defend themselves against people who want to hurt them.

Why would you want to be like everyone else?

Instead, DM me and spend 4% of your day learning something that could save your life.

Then you can get on Netflix.

Let me be very clear. The best way for someone to learn how to defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, younger opponent is to learn how to grapple.

In this video, me and my partner aren’t drilling, he is actively trying to stop me. He is bigger, stronger and younger than me, yet I give him a very simple choice. Give up or get your ankle broken.

I’m not posting this video to show off, I’m posting it to demonstrate what an average person like me can achieve with hard work and regular practice.

This can’t be learned by watching videos or reading books. The only way way to learn is to step on the mats.

Drop me a DM and let’s get you started, you owe it to yourself.

NB, I don’t know what I was thinking with that gesture at the end, but I regret nothing. Think it worked out ok.

I’ve seen some shocking statistics today on wellbeing in the emergency services in terms of low morale, stress, anxiety and assaults on workers.

What if I told you there was something you could do for only a few hours a week, that would not only make you better protected from assault, but would also improve your mood, make you healthier physically and mentally and improve your decision-making and strategic thinking under pressure?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can do all the things I’ve just mentioned and I’ve learned that first hand through years of experience.

I’m booking one to ones and group sessions so DM me to get started.

Great rounds this morning. Working on position, control, escape and joint isolation.

If you aren’t training, you should be.

Drop me a DM and let’s schedule some training time in. Invest in your own safety. A couple of sessions a year won’t cut it.

Ten great five minute rounds in the Gi yesterday with this lot.

You might not know it yet, but you need Jiu Jitsu. DM me and I’ll get you started.

One to one coaching if you’re self-conscious, group sessions if you would rather train with some mates.

Come and find out why so many emergency service workers are stepping on the mats.

It still amazes me how many emergency service workers spend all their training time on strength and conditioning and none on actually learning how to grapple and control bigger, stronger people.

Strength and Conditioning has its place, but that alone won’t keep you safe.

DM me to start taking control of your safety.
