One of the most common problems with a toaster is crumbs jamming the mechanism. Sometimes you can fix it with a vigorous shake, however, other times it needs to be dismantled. This one was a challenge to open up, but the team succeeded.

Thank you to all the volunteers who came to support our event at BRWCA this month.

All records are entered into The Restart Project database, which we use for standardised data collection. It was a quiet event with 8 items brought by our guests. 3 went home fixed, taking our lifetime total to 2654 kg of waste prevented.

We will be taking a break in August and will start planning the next event in September. In the meantime, you can visit one of the upcoming Solent Repair and Reuse events:

- Portchester Repair Cafe on 29th August
