Addressing the post that has been on Facebook. I would like to share our side of what happened. Whenever children have injuries on entry if its visble we ask a parent what has happened and log it on an existing injury. If there is an injury which we find when changing a child as per our policy we will call the appropriate authorities, in this case the police and children's services as per our safeguarding guidelines.
The police were called soon after arrival and they then dealt with everything including notifying the parent later to make sure they had done their safeguard checks.
I cannot get into details as I am unable to but what has been written is libellous and I have taken advice from a solicitor. As there are vital facts missing in her post about that morning and deliberate misinformation, including how she presented on arrival that morning, so I urge you not to make judgements based on that.
All we did was follow our safeguarding protocol to protect a child as we are trained to do.
We have been receiving horrible messages and posts which is completely unfounded and unfair. The police closed this as there was nothing we had done and no evidence of any wrongdoing at our nursery.
