⛵️ Yachtmaster Passage Making Week

These 5-day passage-making adventures are designed for those working towards their Yachtmaster certification and looking to gain valuable experience and qualifying passages.

Over the week, we aim to complete at least 3–4 Yachtmaster-qualifying passages of 60+ nautical miles, including one overnight passage. Destinations will vary based on weather and tides, offering real-world navigation and skippering challenges in dynamic coastal conditions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
✅ Take the helm and skipper longer passages
✅ Build confidence in offshore navigation
✅ Gain essential experience under the guidance of a Yachtmaster Instructor

We had our first channel crossing of the year over the bank holiday weekend, taking advantage of the lovely Easterly winds. It was a real two-day adventure! We had a pleasant sail across on Saturday, and then we had a super lively night sail back on Sunday night. Everyone on the crew did great, and we had an absolute blast!

Its shaping up to be a glorious summer in the UK this year.
We have a west country sailing adventure planned for the Whitsun holiday week.
Enjoy a leisurely sail from our home berth in Weymouth and head to the spectacular Devon coastline where we will enjoy the vibrant ports of Brixham and Salcombe as well as the scenic delights of Dartmouth. Bookings can be made via the website.

Departing from Portland we will round the world famous Portland Bill before heading across Lyme Bay to the beautiful Devon coast where we will head for the colouful fishing town of Brixham. Then a short sail round the corner into the beautiful entrance to Dartmouth and then onto the vibrant sailing estuary of Salcombe before a long sail back to Portland.
