Recognising Courage, Kindness and Achievement

This week's Hot Chocolate Wednesday celebrated a fantastic group of students who have demonstrated resilience, kindness, leadership and a commitment to supporting others ☕

Students were recognised for consistently positive attitudes to learning, making excellent progress, going above and beyond in lessons, and helping their peers to succeed.

We also celebrated students who showed exceptional character during residential trips and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, demonstrating maturity, courage and compassion when supporting others in challenging situations.

Other nominations recognised students for embracing new challenges, contributing positively to the school community through ambassador roles, overcoming personal anxieties, and raising an incredible £680 for Alzheimer's UK through the Trek26 sponsored walk.

Well done to all of our nominees. We are incredibly proud of the way you represent our school values every day.

Pride in Place is all about bringing people together to celebrate Rowner, support local families, and create positive opportunities for the future of our community. Backed by the UK Government, the project focuses on improving community spaces, supporting wellbeing, and making Rowner a place where everyone feels proud to live, work, and grow. 💚

Join us for a fantastic family fun day alongside the Best Start Family Hub and Hampshire County Council teams! There’ll be something for everyone, including a mobile farm 🐑, magician 🎩, balloon modelling 🎈, and a FREE ice cream or ice lolly for every child 🍦

This is also a chance to have your say, meet local organisations, share your ideas, and help shape exciting new initiatives for the area. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected future for Rowner.

We are looking forward to welcoming students for our much anticipated Sports Day events next week! Please see the schedule below:

Year 7 – Friday 19th June

PE Kit Requirements:
• King’s Academy Bay House house polo top
• Black or dark blue shorts, leggings, or tracksuit bottoms (minimal logos only)
• Suitable trainers

Tight cycling shorts (e.g. Nike Pros) are not permitted.

Cricket Success for Bay House

This week, our cricket team played an exciting hardball fixture against Boundary Oak 🏏

Boundary Oak scored 120, with Bay House successfully chasing down the total with two overs to spare in a fantastic team performance.

Special congratulations go to our Players of the Match:

⭐ Harry W for scoring an unbeaten 31

All players demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, courage and teamwork throughout the match, representing the school brilliantly.
