Multidisciplinary Artist/Author. Creator of NaΓ―ve Landscapes and Whimsical Animals. Working mainly in acrylic, ink & watercolour.
This page has been tested on animals, they thought the page was fab! Although one monkey, who wishes to remain anonymous, did comment that him and 999 of his mates have been in a room for a year and are still yet to write the works of Shakespeare. What he thinks that has to do with my creative page I will never know. No oranges, tangerines, satsumas or any other juicy fruit come to think of it, were harmed in the making of this page.

πPlease do react and comment as this really gives the Art Club members a boost. It's all very well me telling them all how fab they are, but it's always better coming from someone elseπ

Can't wait? I am available for private tuition, group tuition and art demonstrations. DM or email me at [email protected] to enquire.
Enough from me. Please enjoy, react, comment ππ¨
Note: In their pursuit of creative Zen as well as their own photos often art club members use photos and artworks from their own searches from various sources as reference for their learning and enjoyment and not financial reward. Freebird, oil on canvas π¨
No, not a new addition to the Colorful Wild Life Series. Well not intentionally anyway.
Nope, this is my recycling of Helena Heath Artist flamingo for the Two For Joy Gallery Recycled Art Exhibition.
I had two half days to start and finish Freebird (you are all aware of the Studiage situation, still ongoing by the way π) using a medium, oil, that I haven't used for 10 years with only a small selection of paints and a handful of brushes to boot, two brushes lent to me by the wonderful Rose πΉπ. Thank you Rose, I used both brushes π
I absolutely loved playing with oils again after all of this time and I will most definitely be playing with them some more π
I did consider calling this painting Marmite as when you compare it to the original, Helena's beautiful ping flamingo (now technically the under painting), it is so far removed you'll either love it or hate it.
I will be getting the painting back this week. When I do I will be playing a bit more with it and framing it.
Hmmm, who knows perhaps Freebird will join the Colourful Wild Life Tribe π€π¨

New Recycled Art Project π¨
Due to an unfortunate series of events I have been locked out of my studiage (Garage Studio) for the last 7 days. I have tired unsuccessfully to, coughs - break in. I have also had a locksmith out who also couldn't gain access.
Inside my studiage is my whole creative life including the recycled art of Jackie Boggeln that I was working on for this Saturday's exhibition π±
I had to create a piece for this Saturday's Recycled Art Exhibition at Two For Joy Gallery so I grabbed the pink flamingo pictured. The image is of the original flamingo artwork created by artist and gallery owner Helena Heath.
No pressure there then π
To add to the 'no pressure' the original artwork was created with oils and I haven't painted in oils for a decade Oh and I only have a day and a bit to recycle it and no easel, and I'm actually away for two days (suitcase, socks, pants, oil painting π
)
This is going to go to the wire even by Last Minute Al standards
Wish me luck π€π¨

Afternoon all, I hope that you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday.
Art Clubs: Due to a rather annoying garage door incident I can't access the art club art supplies. I have had a locksmith out, but he couldn't get the door open which means it's a mechanical issue.
There will be new water pots and new plates, but no other supplies until the garage door specialist fixes it.
My absolute apologies for the inconvenience π
Note: if you know of an Art Club member who is not on FB can you please pass on the above information. Thank you.

My friends & I would really like your help π
Itβs been over a year since the last addition to the series, and while Iβve been busy on commissions, writing, illustrating etc. My colourful friends have been waiting patiently on the sidelines. Weβre ready to grow the tribe, but we need a bit of inspiration to get the pens and brushes moving again.
Weβre ready to welcome some new colourful characters to the tribeβI am eager to get back to creating them, and we would really like your help
So, our question to you is... which wildlife should we create next?
Answers below in the comments!
Iβll be looking through all your suggestions to see which animals are the most popular, so donβt worry if someone has already mentioned your favouriteβadd your vote anyway!
To say thank you, once the new character is finished, Iβll randomly pick one person from the comments to receive a signed print of the new addition to the tribe.
Thank you

Ooo! Look at this sky π±βοΈ
Taken from my kitchen window around 6:45pm this evening.

Brrr! It's like winter has returned out there! π₯Ά π¬οΈ
It's supposed to be mid May! I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but yesterday evening was some kind of crazy. Did we anger the Gods π±
What kind of meteorological magic is this? π€―
So to keep warm and dry I stayed in and got creative working on two projects.
First was to prep Jackie Boggeln's seascape ready to add my touch of inspiration to it. For my idea to work I needed to smooth out some of Jackie's texture. However hand sanding just ain't touching it. Who knew texture was so difficult to remove. Time to break out the power tools π«π
My second project of the day involved texture of a different type, wood.
'A wooden slice to be precise'.
(I'm a poet and I didn't even know it)
Actually I did know it as I've co authored and published a whole children's book in rhyme π
Anyway back to the wooden slice. I'm trialing out potential new workshop ideas with this being one of them. Once finished it can be art for the home or garden. Thoughts?

Support a poor starving artist for FREE!
Yes my amazing followers, I said 'FREE!'
Well, actually it will cost a moment of your time, just an teeny tiny moment, but a moment all the same. And believe me that moment of your time will mean as much to me as purchasing one of my artworks, a print, a card.
But you won't just be helping me you will be helping others too, others who we have not yet met, all for FREE!
There is a fab Chinese proverb..
If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day, go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year, make a fortune.
If you want happiness for lifetime, help someone else
So, not only I am offering you FREE, I am also offering a lifetime of happiness (according to the ancient Chinese).
Okay I am getting to the point of this post now...
I have been updating my page and one thing has come to light. The Facebook algorithm loves a page that has reviews. And I have none, zero, de nada
To help me reach more people, to encourage more people to join art clubs, workshops, to help keep my artistry moving forwards. If you have commissioned me, purchased art, prints, merch. If you have attended a workshop, If you are now or have been an art club member, attended a demonstration, met me at an event etc. I would love for you to leave me a review, or just a star rating.
