Our children have enjoyed using the new playtime equipment this week (dolls and action figures). They requested some smaller toys to play with at the picnic benches and some larger construction to use in the wooden shelter. They have shown us that they are able to 'Be Safe' by following the instructions given to them about how to use it safely.
Next week we will introduce 2 more equipment boxes (dinosaurs and Duplo bricks).

And, the Sports Day winners are...The Blue Team! The points were as follows: Blue 332, Red 293. Baby Lovell seems to have influenced the winning team this year!
Well done to all of our children who took part on Friday. We are so proud of you all.
Another huge thank you to Mrs Lovell for organising the afternoon for us. Mrs Lovell is leaving us on the 19th June and is due to have her baby the following week!!!

Last week in art club the children explored the work of author and illustrator Eric Carle, best known for his book The Hungry Caterpillar.
Eric Carle created his colourful illustrations using the medium of collage. He used small pieces of coloured tissuepaper, painted them with acrylics, then cut and arranged them to form the images and characters in his stories.
Inspired by this, the children cut up multicoloured paper to create their own bug pictures. Bees, butterflies, and caterpillars were very popular!

Our children came back to a few surprises today! Our new outdoor equipment has now been built by Mr Wilson and the new chalk boards have been put up.
Our Bee Team were the first to try it out this morning and Ms Woodford helped them to think about some 'rules' to help us to use it safely.
The rest of the children then tried out the equipment at playtime this morning. We were so proud of how resilient they were, especially when trying the monkey bars.
Tomorrow in assembly, we will be introducing some smaller playtime equipment such as dolls and Lego.
All of these new things were chosen by the children last term and discussed by our Bee Team.
