A full time job has become available within our childcare setting

Do you have what it takes to become a member of Littlestars Daycare Gortin?

We at Littlestars currently employee 20 staff, and we are looking for someone else to join our team!! Are you that person? Are you an experienced, motivated, friendly, and outgoing person can you help us provide a fun, stimulating and quality learning environment for the children in our care!

Do you have the following qualities?

🌟 are you a fun, loving and friendly person
🌟are you a creative person
🌟can you work well as part of a team
🌟can you work well on your own initiative
🌟have you good time management skills

Our successful applicant should have or be open to doing their Level 3 Childcare. Applicant will also need to have or be willing to do the following courses: Safeguarding, First Aid and Food hygiene.

We are currently recruiting for the following posts:

⭐️ Banking staff- available as and when required, or 12-2 lunch cover on a daily basis

⭐️ Maternity cover- 36 hours per week for full 9 months November 2022 until at least August 2023. This job will begin in September 2022 as part time post 16 hours per week to settle into new job and gain full knowledge.

This person should have at least Level 3 childcare, Safeguarding and food hygiene ( is desirable but can be working towards completing) The right person for this post should have experience in a childcare setting, be creative, fun loving and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Our new 'Rise up and shine time' programme application process is now opened. If your child is 2 years old before 1st July 2022 you can apply. This intake will begin on 5th September 2022 and will run until March 31st 2023. (May be extended depending on funding)

Terms and conditions will apply and selection criteria will be in place if large numbers apply.

The job requires an enthusiastic person- that can cook nutritious, healthy and well balanced meals throughout our day.

The right person will need to have/or complete basic food hygiene, and child protection. The ideal person doesn't need to have trained as a cook to apply. He or she should be able to work well as part of team, be able to work on their own initiative, and meet all daycare policies and procedures.

The hours of this job will be 9-4.30

A new job opportunity has become available at Littlestars.

We are looking for a qualified, experienced person to do a one to one assistant with a preschool aged child.

The job will need a calm, fun loving person to work on a one to one basis with a child with additional needs. This person will also be required to work alongside management, outside agencies and the parents to help support the needs of this individual child.

The position will be term time and begin on the 1st Septmber 2021. Covering 10 hours per week Monday-Friday from 9.30- 11.30 (additional hours of normal daycare are also an option for the right person after these hours)

Update on our Rise up and Shine time programme

We have been overwhelmed with the interest expressed from parents, we have had 52 applications overall 🙈🙈

We have sent emails and messages to anyone that has been successful in securing a space, for anyone that hasn't received notification then unfortunately your child has not been allocated at space at this time.

We allocated pre-preschool children spaces first- so if your child is not pre-preschool age until September 2021 (age of 3 before June 2022)then they will still be eligible to recieve a space come September when our new intake will take place. All children's information will be held on file for now and if a space becomes available we will notify you.

Thank you all for your patience and support

We have a small number of paid spaces in our toddler room still available for any child that is not yet 3 years of age.
