Cliff Park Infant and Junior Academies first opened their doors back in 1968. More than half a century later, as Cliff Park Primary Academy we are still flourishing. After joining Ormiston Academies Trust at the end of 2018, we welcomed Mrs Kate Rutherford as our Executive Principal, and alongside our Vice Principal Mrs Louise Watkins and Assistant Principal Mr Phil Reid, we continue to strive for

the best for our pupils, families, staff, and community as a whole. We are determined that all children can and will achieve, and ensure that children learn within an enabling environment. We believe that everybody is important, everybody has a place and everybody learns from everybody else. We actively promote children’s choices and ownership of their learning. This means that we group children flexibly, facilitating those children’s choices and offer our children a series of open challenges so that they can take control of their own learning and aim high, without any ceiling being placed upon what might be possible for them to achieve. We recognise that every child’s learning journey is individual and we cater for and celebrate the diversity of learning styles and needs in every class. We are all proud of our schools, our wonderful children and their many successes. Our committed team work exceptionally well together to enrich learning experiences for our children. The safety and happiness of all the children in our school is of paramount importance because we believe that children will make the most of their learning opportunities when they are safe and enjoying themselves. Each child is an individual with a multitude of talents which we aim to encourage during their time at Ormiston Cliff Park Primary. Children and families who join us can look forward to sharing in the learning journey from ages 4 to 11. Childhood is a very special time and we look forward to working with all our families to ensure that our children experience the very best opportunities.

✨ What a fantastic start to Year 1! ✨

Last week, we have enjoyed a range of activities to introduce our four learning areas: Narrative, Creative, Maths and Enquiry. The children used characters to create and tell stories, practised ordering numbers, sorted blocks in different ways, and drew pictures of their families.

We also shared the beautiful story The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse and talked about how we can face and overcome our fears. The children then painted pictures representing something they were afraid of, which we will revisit at the end of the year to see how much they have grown in confidence.

In addition, we have begun our Maths, English and Phonics lessons. The children have adapted wonderfully to the new routines and have shown great enthusiasm and resilience. We are all very excited to begin our Year 1 journey together! 🌟📚😊

What a fantastic reward trip our Year 6 children enjoyed in Norwich! 🎉

As a celebration of their hard work, dedication and positive attitude throughout the year, the children were treated to an exciting day out at Gravity Trampoline Park and Tenpin Bowling. From the moment we arrived, the excitement and enthusiasm were clear to see.

At Gravity, the children bounced, jumped and challenged themselves through a range of fun activities, showing great energy, confidence and teamwork. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another, trying new things and, most importantly, having lots of fun together.

The excitement continued at Tenpin Bowling, where friendly competition, plenty of strikes and lots of laughter filled the afternoon. The children demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, cheering each other on and celebrating everyone's achievements.

We were incredibly proud of the way our Year 6 pupils represented the school throughout the visit. Their behaviour was exemplary, and they showed respect, kindness and maturity at all times. They were a real credit to themselves, their families and our school community.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped organise and supervise the trip, making it such a memorable experience. We hope the children have taken away some wonderful memories as they approach the next exciting chapter of their educational journey.

Well done, Year 6 – you thoroughly deserved this special reward!

🌊☀️ Year 6 Beach Adventure! ☀️🌊

What a fantastic day our Year 6 children have had at the beach! From the moment we arrived, the children embraced every opportunity to explore, learn and enjoy the beautiful seaside environment. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as they spent time with friends, built sandcastles, played games on the sand and enjoyed the fresh sea air.

The day provided a perfect opportunity for the children to relax and celebrate their final year of primary school together. Whether they were collecting interesting shells, creating imaginative structures in the sand or simply enjoying spending time with their classmates, the children demonstrated excellent teamwork, friendship and enthusiasm throughout the day.

We were particularly proud of the way they represented our school. Their behaviour was exemplary, showing kindness, respect and responsibility at all times. Many members of the public commented on their positive attitudes and excellent manners, which was lovely to hear.

Days like these create special memories that will stay with the children for years to come. As they prepare for the exciting transition to secondary school, it has been wonderful to see them sharing laughter, supporting one another and making the most of these precious final moments together as a year group.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped make the trip such a success. Most importantly, well done to our amazing Year 6 children for making the day such an enjoyable and memorable experience. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

🎪✨ Year 6 Enjoy a Memorable Visit to the Hippodrome Circus! ✨🎪

Our Year 6 children were treated to a truly magical experience as they visited the world-famous Hippodrome Circus for an unforgettable performance.

From the moment they arrived, the excitement was clear to see. The children were captivated by the spectacular show, which featured incredible acrobatics, breathtaking stunts, dazzling performances and plenty of moments that had the audience laughing, cheering and applauding throughout. The skill, courage and talent displayed by the performers left everyone amazed and inspired.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for our children to experience live theatre and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our local area. Many were fascinated by the unique setting and history of the Hippodrome, making the trip both an entertaining and educational experience.

It was fantastic to see our Year 6 pupils representing the academy so positively. Their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and respect throughout the visit were a credit to themselves, their families and our school community. They embraced every moment of the experience and created memories that will stay with them for years to come.

School trips such as this play an important role in broadening children's horizons, inspiring creativity and providing valuable experiences beyond the classroom. The smiles on the children's faces throughout the day were a clear indication of just how much they enjoyed their visit.

A huge thank you to the staff who helped organise and support the trip, ensuring it was such a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

What a fantastic day of fun, wonder and entertainment for our Year 6 children! 🌟
