Please do not bring these foods into the settings as we have staff and children with severe allergies!

Cherries & Olives (not pipped), Popcorn, Jelly Cubes, Marshmallows, and Raisins are choking hazards and will not be given to children at any time, and will be given back to parents at the end of the day. Please for the safety of our children and staff, do not bring Nuts (including peanut butter & Nutella), Kiwi, Pineapple and Coconut into the setting due to allergies.

Please note that at The Cove, due to a severe allergy, whole or raw eggs cannot be brought into the nursery and will be treated as a Forbidden Food. This does not include products containing eggs, just as a whole or raw form.

Today we had a little visit from our friends with chicco the chicken and some baby chicks 🐤, the children loved feeding them, petting them and listening to them chirping . We used lots of different language to describe the textured and sounds that we heard . What a beautiful experience we had with nature !

If your child has a working parent funding code, you MUST renew this code via your Childcare account every 90 days - failure to renew your code can result in your code not being valid for the upcoming term!

Any new funding for the upcoming term starting in September 2026 must be applied for by 31.08.26, any funding applications after this date will not be eligible until the September 2026 term.

We are hiring due to expansion at our England's Lane site! We are looking for 2x passionate Qualified Nursery Nurses (Level 2 or 3) to work 30 or 35 hours per week, in a full-time and permanent role either year round, or term-time only . The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm - 51 weeks per year (excluding bank holidays) and you will be expected to work Monday to Friday on a shift basis. Scribbles Day Nursery offers career progression opportunities in the childcare sector, training, and more - term-time only contracts are also considered!
