⭐ Lunctime Educator Needed⭐

A Lunchtime Educator provides caring and flexible support to ensure the smooth running of the nursery during the busy lunchtime period. Working typically from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, the role involves supervising meals, interacting and playing with children, tidying and preparing areas, providing comfort and helping children settle for sleep where needed.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential. Applicants should be caring, reliable and flexible, with an enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references required before appointment.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.

2. To care for children and follow instructions and systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

3. To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with child protection and safeguarding policies.

4. To play and interact with the children inside and outside.

5. To be reliable and punctual, maintaining staffing ratios at all times.

6. To interact warmly with children and parents, supporting colleagues to fulfill their key person responsibilities.

Yesterday, our Daisy children enjoyed a fun, hands-on sensory activity using leaves and feathers! 🍃🪶

Keeping Children Safe When Travelling in Cars

To help keep all children safe, please ensure your child is travelling in the correct car seat every time you travel.

‼️UK law states that:

✔️Children must use a suitable child car seat until they are 12 years old or 135 cm (4 ft 5 in) tall, whichever comes first.
✔️The car seat must be suitable for your child's height and weight and fitted according to the manufacturer's instructions.
✔️Booster seats are only suitable for older children and should not be used for babies or toddlers.
✔️Children can travel in the front passenger seat if using the correct child restraint. If using a rear-facing seat in the front, the passenger airbag must be switched off (unless the vehicle manufacturer advises otherwise).
✔️Drivers are legally responsible for ensuring children under 14 are using the correct child restraint. Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to £500.
✔️Even on short journeys, using the correct car seat significantly reduces the risk of serious injury in the event of a collision.

🎨🌈 Last week, our Poppys had lots of fun exploring colour mixing on the tuff trays! They used different stamps to spread the colours together, creating exciting new shades as they explored through play.

Join us for the Junior 2K Parkrun on Sunday 12th July at 9am this Sunday! 🏃🏃

This event is for children aged 4–14, and parents and carers can run with their children or support from the sidelines. Adults are also welcome to join in, but there must be a child running alongside them.

The event is completely free, but please register before attending for the first time. You only need to register with parkrun once, and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode. If you forget it, you won't be able to receive a time.

The aim of the event is to have fun, so please come along and join in, whatever your pace! The parkrun takes place at Worthing Leisure Centre, Shaftesbury Avenue, Worthing, BN12 4ET. The course is a mix of running track and grass.
