⚠️ PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR NURSERY SAFE ⚠️

A few weeks ago, our video intercom at the Church Hall was deliberately damaged. The screen has been cracked and, as a result, the buzzer no longer works properly.

This system cost our small charity over £1,000 to install and was put in place for an important reason — to help safeguard the children attending our nursery and to control who is able to enter the setting.

As a small charity, we simply don’t have the funds to immediately replace or repair expensive equipment. In the meantime, we installed a cheaper wireless doorbell as a temporary solution while we worked towards being able to afford the necessary repairs or replacement of the intercom.

Unfortunately, sometime between 3pm on Friday and 12.30pm on Sunday, the temporary wireless doorbell was removed and stolen.

We are extremely disappointed that something which was put in place to help keep children safe has been deliberately damaged and then stolen.

Every pound our charity spends matters. Money spent repairing or replacing equipment that has been deliberately damaged or stolen is money that cannot be spent on the children.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our nursery and community.

🍂🐥 Autumn adventures with our Chicks! 🐥🍂

Our Chicks have been making the most of this lovely autumn weather with a little walk outdoors! 🍁🌤️

We went on a nature hunt, collecting pine cones and conkers along the way. 🌰🍂 The children loved spotting them, picking them up and talking about all the different things they could see around them.

We’re so lucky to be located in the centre of Howden and, even more magically, right in the Ashes playing field, with so much to see and explore all around us. We truly couldn’t imagine a better place to go to nursery! 🤎

Back at nursery, we brought our treasures inside and used them with playdough for some lovely sensory and creative play. The children explored textures, shapes and patterns, using the conkers and pine cones to make marks and create their own little autumn-inspired masterpieces.

A lovely afternoon of fresh air, exploring nature, collecting, creating and learning through play, just how early years should be!🍂🐥✨
