Save the dates. We would love to welcome you to St Joseph's this term 🌟

There are two ways to visit us this term. Both are for families thinking about a place for September 2027, and neither needs booking.

Open Day and Tour: for families choosing a primary school for September 2027

Each visit begins with a short talk and introduction, giving you a real insight into our school community and what matters to us. You will then be taken on a tour of the school and our grounds.

It is a relaxed, informative hour with plenty of time to ask questions and explore. We hold these after school so that working parents do not have to take a day's leave to visit us.

📅 Tuesday 29 September, 4–5pm
📅 Monday 19 October, 4–5pm
📅 Monday 23 November, 4–5pm

Stay & Play: the same welcome, with your child alongside you

A relaxed hour of play in our Early Years classroom and garden, with refreshments while the children explore. If your child is due to start Reception in September 2027, this is an easy first look at the room they would be in and the staff who would teach them. No formality, no commitment. It is also the best place to hear about our new Nursery, opening in January 2027 with funded 15 and 30 hour places for children from the age of three.

📅 Wednesday 30 September, 1.30–2.30pm. Goldilocks and the Three Bears theme

📅 Wednesday 2 December, 1.30–2.30pm. Christmas theme

There is no need to book for any of them. Simply come along.

We welcome pupils and families from all faiths and backgrounds.

🥳📆 Celebrating 2025-26 together:

🧺 We had a wonderful afternoon with our school community coming together at our summer picnic, to celebrate another school year at St Joseph's!

💦🧑‍🏫 Highlights included: splash the teacher, singing from our award-winning Mrs Kwallah, a penalty shoot-out, fruity homemade sorbet and ice pops, and much more!

🤩 A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and volunteers, who worked so hard to provide a fun-filled afternoon for our families

🧒🚪 Visit from EYFS on Transition Day!

👑✨ Year 1 enjoyed getting to know their new classmates when our EYFS children came to visit

🎨🙌 The children made crowns showing their name and favourite things, and worked together to create some amazing masterpieces

🤩 A brilliant start to some wonderful new friendships!

🔥🏘️ St Joseph’s Great Fire of London Day:

🪣💦 The children discovered a "fire" and worked together, forming a bucket line to pass water along and put out the flames

🛖🍞 They then got hands-on experience in baking bread and creating houses in the style of 1666 homes

🤩 What a brilliant, hands-on way to bring history to life!

🔥🧊 Magnificent visit to Magna!

⚡🔬 Years 3 and 4 had a fabulous time at Magna, rounding off their Science Electricity topic in style!

🧑‍🔧🔎 From building big circuits to hands-on interactive play, the children got stuck in and had a brilliant day of discovery

☀️🏃‍♀️ St Joseph's Sports Day 2026:

🤩 Our much-anticipated Sports Day was a great success once again this year! The sun shone down on us as our children embraced sportsmanship, respect and a real love of sport

🏅👏 Every race was thrilling – from our youngest pupils taking part for the very first time, to our Year 6s competing in their last ever Sports Day with us

💪 What brilliant effort and team spirit from everyone!

3️⃣🐠4️⃣ Something fishy in Years 3 & 4:

🐟🙋‍♂️ There was something a little fishy going on today – in the best possible way! Years 3 and 4 thoroughly enjoyed an "Under the Sea" workshop, getting creative in preparation for this summer's Community Gala Parade

🎨🐬A huge thank you to Tony from Edgelands Art for joining us and sharing his wonderful creative flair – the children loved every minute!

💦👀 We can't wait to see their amazing creations make a splash at the parade! Watch this space
