It's almost time to start the year over again, with a new set of students joining our ranks; and for the new Union to take over! Keep a look out for their updates here, and make sure to use them; your Union is here for you! A point for all our Year 13's heading off to uni, work or further training; Thank You and Good Luck from Kate Coulter! And I think the old Union might jump in with that as well. How many of you have seen this? Yesterday's Goole Times had a lovely spread featuring interviews and photos of some of our students at last weeks Results Day, as well as listing ours and other local colleges results. Congratulations to our students who collected GCSE Resit Results yesterday, we've been hearing good things about those!

Congratulations to all our students on Results Day! There were some tense moments before we all opened our results today, but across the board we've done pretty well for ourselves! If you did well, congratulations! If you didn't get what you were expecting, we hope you had the chance to chat to the teachers there; and remember that they'll be able to discuss options more in depth when the next year starts. There were some journalists around today, this article (with some juicy photos!) came online a little bit earlier, why not have a read?

So the Olympics are well and truly over; massive well done to Team GB for the best medal count and performance for years! We love this photo of the Closing Ceremony, really finished the Games off with a positive note; which we hope will extend to this Thursday! This time next week, we'll all know how we did in our summer exams; it's finally coming round to Results Day! The countdown's officially on - this was the countdown a few minutes ago. All results will be issued from the Main School Hall (G Block) - Year 13's from 9:00AM and Year 12's from 10:00AM (If you're picking up GCSE Resit results, that's August 23rd). Teachers will be on hand for advice and help, particularly with our students with Uni offers. Hope we're all enjoying the Olympics, and in particular Team GB's Golden Hour! It started with Jess Ennis smashing the Heptathlon, then Greg Rutherford's Long Jump win, and finishing off with Mo Farah taking the 10000m race for Britain! With 10 more days to go and Team GB at No. 3 in the medal table, let's rally around Team GB and 'Our Greatest Team'!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the End of Year Party last night! A bit slow starting, especially with the rubbish weather that started the night, but we had a good time in the end! There're some good photos out there, why not share some on our wall?

It's really starting to come down now, with just fifteen minutes to go! But sit tight, keep getting ready, maybe think about bringing an umbrella or jacket and maybe do a little getting-ready-in-your-bedroom jive to possibly the BEST party song of all time!
