Another fantastic week at Falcons! ☀️
The heat has definitely got to everyone this week, but we've all pushed through and made the most of it! A huge well done to all of our learners for their hard work, resilience, and effort throughout the week.
We've enjoyed taking some of our maths learning outdoors with practical activities in the sunshine. The learners who got involved had plenty of competitive fun alongside the staff—and let's just say there may have been a few people who ended up a little wetter than they expected! 💦😄
It's been great to see everyone engaging, learning, and enjoying themselves despite the warm weather. Well done, Falcons! 👏

🔬🦋 What an exciting few weeks we've had in Science!
Our learners have been getting really hands-on, learning the fascinating skill of butterfly pinning and creating beautiful framed displays. It has been a wonderful opportunity to explore science in a practical and engaging way, and the results have been fantastic!
We also have a scorpion currently drying out, ready to be framed soon – something our learners are very excited about. 🦂✨
We hope everyone has enjoyed this unique learning experience as much as we have enjoyed sharing it with them. It's been amazing to see their curiosity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail throughout these activities.
As we head into the weekend, we hope all of our learners have a fun and safe time. The weather is looking beautiful, so if you're spending time outdoors, please remember the importance of open water safety and take extra care. ☀️🌊

Last week, our learners really got stuck in! Whether it was in the music shed creating some amazing tunes, in the workshop fixing up vehicles, or in the classroom working hard on their learning, everyone showed great effort and determination.

It's fantastic to see our learners engaging so positively and giving their best in everything they do. We're incredibly proud of the commitment they've shown and the progress they're making.

Here's to another successful week ahead - we can't wait to see what our learners achieve next! 💪🔧

🌞 As the weather gets warmer, more people will be heading to rivers, lakes, reservoirs, canals, and other open water locations to cool off.

Sadly, recent tragedies involving children losing their lives in open water serve as a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers these environments can present.

Please take a moment to speak with your children, family members, and friends about water safety:

💧 Never enter open water alone.
💧 Avoid swimming in unfamiliar locations.
💧 Cold water shock can affect even strong swimmers.
💧 Hidden currents, deep water, and underwater hazards can be difficult to spot.
💧 Stay away from the edges of reservoirs, rivers, and canals where slips and falls can happen.
💧 If someone gets into difficulty, call 999 and ask for the appropriate emergency service. Do not enter the water yourself—throw something that floats and encourage them to float on their back.

Parents and carers are encouraged to know where children are spending their time, especially during school holidays and warm evenings.

A few minutes spent talking about water safety could save a life.

What a fantastic way to end an amazing half term here at Falcons! 🌟

This week our learners have been busy smashing it on the drums 🥁, getting hands-on in the workshop 🔧, and showing just how talented, hardworking, and brilliant they all are. Whatever they’ve been doing, they’ve truly been amazing!

We hope all of our learners have a fun, relaxing, and safe week off — you’ve all earned it!

🌟 What an exciting week at Falcons! 🌟
From hands-on maths activities outside to pinning butterflies in science, our learners have taken learning to a whole new level—making it interactive, engaging, and, most importantly, fun! 🦋✨
One of our Group 1 learners even mastered the skill of pinning butterflies, exploring science in a unique, hands-on way. On Friday, the energy continued with a trip to the park for a competitive game of football, full of teamwork and enthusiasm. ⚽💪 Back at school, learners kept the energy going with another football match at lunchtime—so much excitement and collaboration!
It’s been wonderful to see our learners actively exploring, playing, and enjoying their learning experiences. A huge well done to everyone for such a fantastic week! 👏
We can’t wait to see you all back on Monday for more fun and learning!

What a fantastic week it has been at Falcons! 🌟

This week, we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of our amazing learners who always walks in with a smile on his face and never fails to brighten the room. We absolutely love seeing him share his incredible talent on the drums 🥁 His enthusiasm and passion for music are truly inspiring!

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Maths and Music teacher, Rob. 🎶➕➗
Rob is a fantastic credit to the team and works brilliantly with our learners in the music room, helping to build confidence, creativity, and enjoyment through music every day. Even inspiring learners to teach others.

A successful week at Falcons with our learners really cracking on in the workshop! 🔧

They’ve been hard at work taking apart a trailer and starting the process of building a new, stronger one — fantastic teamwork and effort all round.

We’ve wrapped up the week with our celebrations assembly, recognising the amazing work and achievements from our learners. A huge congratulations to everyone 👏
