Kingsway Childcare

Kingsway Childcare We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. Kingsway Childcare is a well-established setting which opened in 2005.

It has grown and flourished along with many original staff. The nursery has been designed to offer children the opportunity to explore securely both inside and outside. The environment and activities are planned in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and Ofsted Guidance and delivered by a highly qualified staff team who will work closely with each family, offering individua

l support and advice to ensure each child develops and reaches their full potential at Kingsway Childcare. At Kingsway Childcare we feel all children deserve a high-quality early education, is it especially important for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. This gives them the equal chance of success. We promote an inclusive environment for all children of all abilities. We encourage children to have an awareness of healthy life choices and to become confident communicators, this will allow the children to make their needs and feelings known and to show respect to those around them.

As i am sure you are all aware there is a nasty strain of Flu spreading around the country, including locally

We are asking that if your child is showing signs of flu (even without a temperature) that they are kept at home, this is to help the spread of the virus to other children, staff and their families. Especially with it being the run up to Christmas, no one wants to be unwell over the Christmas period.

If your child has symptoms of Flu they should not come into setting until they are feeling well, eating and have not had a high temperature for at least 48 hours (without the use of calpol etc)

If you yourself or your other children are unwell please drop off and pick up at the outside door - this can be arranged if you make a staff member aware

Thankyou for your understanding

⭐ It's that time of year where illness begins to rise, here are a few reminders⭐

We’d like to remind parents not to bring their child into nursery if:
* They have been given Calpol or ibuprofen.
* They have a temperature of 38°C or over
* They have any rash — this should be assessed by a GP or pharmacy, and you must inform us of the diagnosis before your child returns.
* on antibiotics they cannot return into nursery until the antibiotics have been in their system for 48 hours.
Unfortunately, we cannot stop the spread of these illnesses unless unwell children are kept at home. Bringing children in while sick is:
* Making other children unwell.
* Putting our staff at risk, which can affect our ability to maintain full staffing and remain open.
If you're unsure whether your child is well enough to attend nursery, please feel free to call us for advice, or check the official guidance on the NHS website.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
