They have been trying out lots of urban fieldwork techniques including traffic surveys, land use surveys, environmental quality surveys and questionnaires. ๐Ÿ“‹ Back in class theyโ€™ve been processing their data into graphs with lots of geography skills on show. ๐ŸŒ A great bunch of pupils ๐Ÿ™Œ

A few members of our staff team will be taking part in The Hen Walk to remember and celebrate the life of Johnny Hen, a much-loved parent of past and present pupils of our school.

The sponsored walk is also raising funds for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), in memory of former pupil Hamish Ross.

It would be wonderful if our school community could get behind this fantastic cause. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the important work of CRY and help keep both Johnny and Hamishโ€™s memories alive. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™ If you would like to support the team and make a donation, you can do so via the link below:

๐ŸŽ‰ Introducing our S6 Pupil Leadership Team!

A huge congratulations to our new Head Girl and Head Boy team for 2026/27! ๐Ÿ‘

After an incredibly tough and competitive selection process, with 10 S6 pupils putting themselves forward, we are delighted to announce:

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“ Head Girl โ€“ Daisy Bonner
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“ Depute Head Girl โ€“ Aoife Lee
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“ Head Boy โ€“ Brendan Mackay
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“ Depute Head Boy โ€“ Nathan Dick

The selection process consisted of four areas of assessment, making for a very competitive field.

We were delighted to welcome Councillors Richard Gale and John Murray, along with former Head Teacher and Depute Chief Invigilator Judith MacLeod, to join our interview panel. They were incredibly impressed by the standard of all 10 candidates and spoke extremely highly of how well every pupil performed in their interviews. ๐Ÿ‘

While only four pupils could take on the Head Pupil positions, we want to emphasise that every pupil involved in the process will continue to play an important role in our S6 Pupil Leadership Team. Regardless of the outcome of the selection process, our S6 pupils will all have the opportunity to take on meaningful leadership responsibilities and lead in different areas across the school throughout the year, from pupil voice and fundraising to events, houses, social media, leaversโ€™ activities and much more. ๐ŸŒŸ

We are incredibly proud of all 10 pupils for putting themselves forward, showing courage, ambition and leadership, and committing to making a positive difference to our school.

We are very much looking forward to working with this fantastic team throughout the year and canโ€™t wait to see the brilliant things they achieve together.

Well done, everyone - we are incredibly proud of you! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘

โ€ผ๏ธ REMINDER: S1 Photos Tomorrow! ๐Ÿ“ธ

Please come to school in your full school uniform as normal for your photos. Classes will be called down to the hall from Period 1 onwards.

A few pupils who missed their photos last year will also be called down afterwards.

And finally, a massive good luck to all our S6 pupils interviewing for Head Boy and Head Girl! ๐Ÿคž Weโ€™re sure youโ€™ll all do brilliantly. Regardless of the outcome, we know weโ€™re going to have a fantastic group of seniors leading our school together this year. ๐Ÿฅฐ
