MILLENNIUM PROJECT

DID YOUR FAMILY LEAVE A COMMENT?

To mark the millennium Golspie Heritage Society undertook to take photos of every house in the village and to have the residents of each house leave a comment next to their photo. Not everyone was able to leave a comment and it now being quite a few years since the project began we are attempting to complete the project.

If you lived in Golspie in January, 2000, why not come along and check to see if your house was included in the project and whether a comment was left? This is an opportunity to leave a comment, see what was written about your house or perhaps add to the comment previously written if space allows.

Our opening hours are:
Mondays 10:00 - 12:00
Tuesdays 10:30 - 12:30
Fridays 2:00 - 4:00 or by request.

For those who managed to visit during our recent exhibition, we hope you all enjoyed seeing some of the Pastimes of Past Times. Here are a few of the photos taken during the exhibition. Let us know if there’s anything you had some questions about.

Our monthly meetings will be starting up again on September 2nd when Morag Sutherland and Ellen Lindsay will present a talk on Beach Huts and the Social History of Brora. Look out for posters soon.

We are always looking for new members so why not come along to one of our monthly meetings or any Tuesday morning between 10:30 and 12:30 for a coffee. You will be more than welcome.
