Bridgewater Day Care is a home away from home, local community centre for adults. We offer a 2 course cooked lunch & snacks and drinks throughout the day .

We provide daily activities, socialisation, nutritious meals, and personal care, all from the comfort of the day centre 💙

Specialising in support for the elderly and those living with a form of memory loss, the service allows older people to create new friendships, engage in hobbies and activities both past and new, maintain mental stimulation and much more! Giving family carers respite and the peace of mind that their loved ones are in excellent hands.

❤️ “I’M NOT SURE MUM NEEDS DAY CARE…”

We hear this one quite often.

And sometimes, Mum really doesn’t need day care in the traditional sense.

But perhaps she’s spending more time alone than she used to.

Perhaps she doesn’t get out as much.

Why Day Care Matters ❤️

What exactly is Day Care? 🤔

For some, it may simply sound like somewhere to spend a few hours during the week. But at Bridgewater Day Care, we know it is so much more than that. ❤️

Day care is about people. It’s about giving someone a reason to get up, get dressed and come through our doors knowing they are going to be welcomed, valued and cared for.❤️

It’s about friendship, laughter, conversation and sometimes just sitting with someone who understands. It’s about music, activities, games, meals, celebrations and making memories — but most importantly, it’s about helping each person remain as independent as possible and continue to do the things they can do.

Sometimes it’s something big — learning a new skill, taking part in an activity, making a new friend or gaining confidence.

🎲 Dominoes – fun, friendship and keeping our minds active! 💙

What a lovely time we’ve had at the Day Centre enjoying a game of dominoes together! 😊

Dominoes is a fantastic activity for our clients because it offers so much more than just a game. It helps to:

🧠 Keep the mind active by encouraging concentration, memory and problem-solving
👀 Support hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
🗣️ Encourage conversation, communication and social interaction
