Golborne High School

Golborne High School Golborne High School is a Foundation Co-operative Trust school at the heart of the local community.

We embrace the co-operative trust values of honesty, social responsibility and care. We aim to become a beacon of excellence within Golborne & Lowton. At Golborne High School we put every child at the heart of everything we do. We treat every child with the same consideration, commitment and kindness that we would want for our own children. We have high expectations of our pupils’ behaviour based

on a very simple concept, that every child and adult uses good manners at all times, and understands the difference between right and wrong. We have very simple but clear boundaries based on a ‘firm but fair approach’. At Golborne we simply want every pupil to thrive and excel through their love of learning.

The Results are in!

We mark another proud day in the history of Golborne High School. The culmination of 5 years of dedication, effort, and unwavering support from everyone involved in guiding our Year 11 pupils through their examinations.

Mrs Stott, Headteacher, said

"We are forever proud of our Class of 2026 and it was our absolute pleasure to join them this morning to celebrate the culmination of 5 years of dedication and effort. The work of the team of staff, pupils, parents and carers has led to the success that we have shared with our pupils today.

These results have been achieved through the hard work and maturity that our Year 11 pupils have shown throughout their time at Golborne.

I would like to thank our Year 11 pupils for the contribution they have made to Golborne High School over the last 5 years and for being a pleasure to work with. I would also like to thank the parents and carers of Year 11 class of 2026 for their support.

Now, it is time to for our pupils to progress onto the next stage of their journey with confidence and pride, knowing that they can succeed, whatever challenges life throws at them.
They will, however, forever be, part of the ‘Golborne Family’. We know that they will be a success in whatever path they choose."

Well Done Class of 2026!
