Those little hands are doing some big learning! 🙌

Playdough may look like a simple nursery activity, but while children are squeezing, rolling, pinching and shaping, they're strengthening the muscles in their hands and fingers that will later help with skills such as drawing and writing.

It also gives children the freedom to experiment, use their imaginations and create something completely their own.

We had a roaring good time celebrating World Lion Day at Barton Day Nurseries Golborne! 💛

Throughout the day, our children enjoyed a range of lion-inspired activities, giving them plenty of opportunities to get creative, explore different materials and learn through hands-on play.

Special themed days are a lovely way to spark children's curiosity and bring something a little different to their nursery day and this one certainly brought plenty of smiles, creativity and imagination! 🐾✨

Our outings give children the opportunity to explore new environments, connect with nature, build confidence and create lasting memories with their friends. From discovering beautiful gardens and spotting wildlife to enjoying picnics and outdoor adventures, every trip is an opportunity to learn through play.
