Little Angels Day Nursery We are an Ofsted registered private day nursery situated across four sites within close proximity to Golborne town centre.

The nursery has been established since 2007 and can accommodate children from birth to 11 years.

The 2025/2026 academic year has come to a close and what a year its been.

We are so proud of the team we have here at Little Angels and the time, effort and care that they put in each day.

From management doing show rounds, practitioners doing settling in visits and then supporting each and every day, our chefs providing nutritious meals, cleaners keeping the settings nice and tidy and our handy man who has spent time fixing the toys that get broken and being given a list of jobs from the staff.

Over the year we have welcomed babies who arrive non mobile and we support them in this journey to toddlers and supporting potty training to our pre-school children who have now finished their Little Angels journey and are ready for big school.

Thank you to all parents and carers for choosing our setting to be a part of your childs early education.

We would like to thank all parents and carers for their gifts and cards of appreciation they are very much welcomed.

Our team will now have a much needed bank holiday to rest and refuel ready for the 2026/2027 journey to begin.

Week 4 of holiday club was all about being creative and what a week of fun we had starting off with sip paint. The children had the opportunity to make their own mocktails and then have a go at painting the sunflowers onto a canvas. We also had tie dye onto fabric, craft sessions and making musical instruments.

Preschool have loved exploring the outdoor world and taking care of the fruit and vegetable patch. Following on from taking the children to the local park they made their own little villages using the blocks, cars and figures this is a great way to continue their learning further and give them opportunities to build on their imagination. Not forgetting our very own nail salon as we develop our motor skills.

Last week our toddlers rocketed off to space with this amazing themed invitation to play. Following on from the solar eclipse, that we are sure many families became interested in. ⭐STAFF APPRECIATION. ⭐
Our employees of the month for August are:
Lauren who is at our Talbot Street toddlers as she has become a valued member of the toddler room, her confidence is continuing to grow as she settles into the role as an early years practitioner. Recently she has put together a space themed activity and the children have loved to engage and explore this with lots of learning opportunities.
Emily who is at our Silcock Street site for settling in to the designated safeguarding lead role. Before our recent staff meeting she researched and took the time to plan and prepare for it sharing recent themes across local boroughs to help to keep our team upskilled. A huge well done for the public speaking as this doesn't always come naturally to everyone.

We would like to share with you one of our fantastic SENDCO's modelling a bucket/song activity with some of our preschool children. This is a firm favourite with a number of our children both in toddlers and preschool and it supports children's development in literacy as well as communication and language as they learn to listen and wait.

Another few busy weeks have passed us by in holiday club and we were busy having that much fun that we have missed sharing some photographs.
Week 3 was a history and culture week - some activities included making musical instruments, Russian dolls, exploring clay and then we had the fun of dressing up as a mummy using toilet roll.

Over the last few weeks our preschool children have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, during this time they took a visit to a local park to see if they could find and count any butterflies. When taking any of the children on walks around our local village this supports them to learn about the community that they live in and develops road safety awareness. Accessing the local community is also a great way to build cultural capital for children in our settings.
