Our City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Work-based Animal Care makes it easy to build your skills and confidence – and it only takes 12 weeks to complete! 🤩

It’s ideal for those volunteering or working in a kennel, cattery, or similar setting for at least one day a week (or 12 days across the programme). Applications for our Level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing are open for January 2027!🐴

This programme provides the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and practical experience required to become a qualified equine veterinary nurse, supported every step of the way by our expert tutors.

💻 1 day per week of online lessons, plus 10 practical training days at our Huntingdon centre throughout the programme
👩‍⚕️ You must be employed in an equine or mixed (companion animal and equine) veterinary training practice in England

OSCE Preparation Day 12/08/2026

There is no doubt that preparing to take your student veterinary nurse OSCEs can feel daunting. However, confidence comes with practice, and our new OSCE preparation day is designed to give you just that.

During the day you will get hands-on experience, expert guidance, and valuable feedback to help you approach your VetSkill assessments with confidence.

The day begins with eight tutor-led practical skills stations delivered using a structured 5-Step OSCE Teaching Model, allowing you to observe, practice, and refine your skills while gaining insight into assessment criteria and common pitfalls.

You will then take part in a 12-station peer mock OSCE circuit, replicating the assessment environment and providing an opportunity to develop your timing, technique, and exam strategy.

The day concludes with a Q&A session, giving you the chance to discuss concerns and leave with a clear plan for your final OSCE preparation.
