We are delighted to announce our OSCE Preparation Day at our Huntingdon centre on Friday 27 November 2026, following the success of last week's event at Leeds.

This in-person event is designed to help you build confidence and feel fully prepared for your VetSkill assessments.

Six tutor-led practical skills stations delivered using a structured 5-Step OSCE Teaching Model, allowing you to observe, practice, and refine your skills while gaining insight into assessment criteria and common pitfalls. ✔️

12-station peer mock OSCE circuit, replicating the assessment environment and providing an opportunity to develop your timing, technique, and exam strategy. ✔️

Q&A session, giving you the chance to discuss concerns and leave with a clear plan for your final OSCE preparation. ✔️

In addition, delegates will have access to course resources for two weeks post session including step by step guides, tasks, and videos. The course is also open to any active Clinical Supervisors who wish to attend, to gain up to date knowledge to support their students through VetSkill OSCE examinations

This week, two members of our veterinary nursing team, Nina and Alison, are in Prague helping to run this year’s VETNNET Symposium. 

Nina has been helping to organise the event as conference coordinator, while Alison (VETNNET Coordinator) is supporting the wider network.
 
The theme of the symposium this year is ‘Diversity in Veterinary Nurse Education: teaching for every talent’, keynote speakers and workshops will explore how we can make veterinary nursing education work for a diverse range of learners.  
 
For anyone not familiar with VETNNET, it is the European Network for those involved in veterinary nurse training. It brings together veterinary nursing educators from across Europe to share knowledge, ideas and best practice in veterinary nursing education.
 
Nina and Alison’s involvement reflects the wider connections our team has across the veterinary nursing education community - sharing expertise, building connections and contributing to the development of veterinary nursing education.
