We’re delighted to announce that Aldro Pre-Prep will open in September 2027, bringing a new chapter to our school community.

Building on the ethos of our Prep School, Aldro Pre-Prep will be a place where children in Reception through to Year 2 are given the freedom to flourish — to grow in confidence, discover their passions and develop a lifelong love of learning.

From their very first day, children and their families will experience the warmth of an Aldro welcome. Because being part of Aldro means more than coming to school. We were thrilled to see our Art Studio featured in the latest issue of School House Magazine's 'The Best School... Arts Rooms' feature.

A short walk from the main school building, our studio offers pupils a chance to unplug from busy school life and immerse themselves in creativity. Filled with artwork, ideas, colour and inspiration, it is a space where confidence grows and imagination thrives.

We were delighted to welcome back Form 7 from their residential in Normandy in France. They had a fantastic time visiting St Malo, visiting the abbey in Mont Saint Michel, kayaking, visiting a goat's cheese farm and the D-Day museum.

Don’t miss our upcoming Winter Warmer and Taster Morning events if you are considering Aldro for Form 3 entry in September 2027.

Our Winter Warmer event is an opportunity for Year 2 children to come into school for a fun activity and a story, getting familiar with Aldro in advance of our Taster morning.

The Taster Morning on Friday 6th November at 9am – 1.30pm and is a chance for children to try out a carousel of activities and group admissions exercises.

It's been a tech-tastic week as children have been using technology as part of their learning.

Form 8 pupils have been stepping back in time with VR, as they used VR headsets to immerse themselves in life on the Western Front during the First World War.

As part of their wider learning linked to R.C. Sherriff's powerful play Journey's End, pupils explored realistic trench environments, helping them to deepen their understanding of the conditions, experiences and emotions faced by soldiers.

The VR experience provided a vivid and engaging way to complement their reading and research, bringing history to life and enriching their appreciation of this important literary work.

This morning, Form 4s worked in pairs to create a podcast all about online safety, helping to reinforce the key safety messages.

At breaktime, several children dropped into the ever-popular Minecraft Club. It's a great opportunity to play with friends, build worlds and help digital literacy skills.

The U11 girls are on fire! Over the past few weeks, they have enjoyed a busy schedule of hockey tournaments and matches, going from strength to strength with every performance.

Today, the girls finished joint 1st at the King Edward's Witley Hockey Festival, producing a fantastic team performance with excellent attacking play and resolute defending.

A special congratulations to two of our players who finished as the tournament's top goal scorer, and joint top goalkeeper, after conceding just one goal throughout the festival.

Well done to all the girls for their fantastic play, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Thank you to King Edward's Witley and Westbourne House School for hosting such enjoyable and well-organised tournaments.

Never deterred by the ever changing Autumn weather, we made full use of our fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities this week with another busy timetable of sports.

The children took part in Hockey, Football, Netball, Volleyball and we then finished off the week hosting our U7 Football tournament, inviting other local schools. This was brilliantly supported by our Sports Prefects and Form 8 Pupils who assisted with refereeing and the organisation of the event.
