☀️🌡️ Hot Weather Reminder 🌡️☀️

This week is set to be extremely hot, with temperatures forecast to reach up to 36°C on some days! We will be doing our very best to keep everyone comfortable and safe.

We will aim to spend time outdoors where possible, but only when it is safe to do so. Please ensure that your child comes to preschool prepared for the hot weather.

Every child MUST:
☀️ Arrive wearing suncream
☀️ Bring a named suncream for reapplication throughout the day
☀️ Have a sunhat
☀️ Wear sensible, lightweight clothing and suitable footwear
☀️ Bring spare clothes for water play
☀️ Bring a water bottle (metal bottles are great for keeping drinks cool!)

We will be encouraging the children to drink regularly throughout the day and will be providing plenty of opportunities to cool down with water play and shaded activities.

We are all going to be trying our best this week, but with such high temperatures and no air conditioning in the building, please be aware that your children may come home feeling hot, sweaty, tired and perhaps a little grumpy!

We want to say a huge thank you to our children, families and community supporters ✨✨

Our Stomp and Roar sponsored explore has been totalled up and we are absolutely blown away with your incredible generosity! We have raised a roarsome £1,042!!!!

We can't begin to explain what this means to us as a Pre-School and we are so excited to start buying some new outdoor equipment for the children to enjoy (once the sun returns 🌧️🙄)

👀 Have you spotted our new signs?

One thing we hear all the time is, "I didn't know you were here!" So we thought it was time to make ourselves a little easier to find.

We've been proudly supporting children and families since 1987 – that's nearly 40 years of providing love, nurture, learning, and support to generations of local children.

From first friendships and growing confidence to preparing little ones for their next big step into school, we've been privileged to be part of so many children's early years journeys. 🌈

🦖🦁 STOMP & ROAR SPONSORED EXPLORE 🐘🦓

What an absolutely ROAR-some day we had yesterday! ☀️

The weather was beautiful, the children and staff looked incredible in their amazing outfits, and every single child was an absolute trooper walking all the way around the village! 👏💚

A special mention has to go to our deputy manager Carla… AKA Koala 🐨🤣 who quite literally led the way in a giant inflatable koala costume! We received lots of waves, smiles and beeps from passing cars along the route (although we can’t possibly imagine why! 😂)

Halfway round, we stopped off at the park for a well-earned play before heading back to preschool to enjoy lunch together in the garden 🌳🛝🥪

We are so proud of all the children for their enthusiasm, energy and brilliant walking today. Thank you so much to everyone supporting our sponsored explore — we can’t wait to let you know how much we’ve raised towards some lovely new outdoor resources to complete our renovations! 🌟

🌞 We are SO excited to finally share our newly completed Apple Garden! 🍎✨

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had lots of work taking place and it is now complete — and we absolutely love it! We now have a beautiful new garden space to enjoy, including a bigger and improved digging area for all our little explorers. 🪴🚜

With today’s sunshine shining down on us, we really can’t wait to spend the summer outdoors making memories, exploring, digging, planting and enjoying our lovely new space together. ☀️💚

A HUGE thank you to Simon and his team for all of their hard work. Their time, effort and care have given us such a lovely space for the children to enjoy, and we are so grateful for everything they have done. 😊🍃

We can’t wait to make lots of happy memories in our beautiful new Apple Garden! ✨

🦁🦓 STOMP & ROAR IS TOMORROW! 🦒🐘

We are looking forward to raising some money for new outdoor equipment 🪏🛝🛴

We’re looking to head off around 11am tomorrow morning. After carrying out our risk assessment for the walk, we’ve decided that lunch will be back at Pre School as normal.

With the hot weather due tomorrow, please, please, please make sure your little safari animals come with:
☀️ Suncream already applied
🧢 Sunhats
👟 Sensible footwear

We definitely don’t want any crispy safari animals roaming around! 😅
