Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – 40 hours of joy per week

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner who believes childhood should be full of awe, wonder, mud, giggles, questions, and “what happens if…?”

This is a full-time role (40 hours), but it won’t feel like “just a job.”

Christmas has truly come alive at Tenderlinks Elstead! Our nursery has been filled with festive magic, laughter, and joyful moments as the children enjoyed all the sights, sounds, and sparkle that this special season brings.

🎄❤️ Christmas Charity Event – Supporting Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice ❤️🎄

We are absolutely delighted to share that Tenderlinks Godalming raised £250 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice through our festive Reindeer Run! 🦌✨

The children did us all incredibly proud, showing such enthusiasm and kindness, and it was wonderful to welcome Helena Burke from Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, who joined us on the day and helped keep everyone’s spirits high.

Thank you to our families and team for supporting such a meaningful cause. We are so proud of our Tenderlinks community and the generosity shown this Christmas. ❤️

🎄✨ It’s the most wonderful time of the year! ✨🎄

Christmas has truly exploded at Tenderlinks Godalming, and the children are absolutely loving all the sights, sounds, smells, and magical experiences the season brings!

Our classrooms have transformed into festive wonderlands, filled with opportunities to explore, create, and strengthen fine motor skills through Christmas-themed activities. 🎨🧵

And of course… we’ve had a very special visitor!
Our cheeky elf, Tinsy, has arrived to keep an eye on our older children for Santa — and has been causing plenty of mischief along the way! 🎁🧝‍♂️✨

The Christmas spirit is well and truly alive here at Godalming, and we can’t wait to share more festive fun with you all!

Starting nursery can be a big change for young children and their family. The Key Person approach ensures each child forms a secure bond with a familiar adult, helping them settle confidently. Through tailored attention and understanding, we support every child’s emotional well-being and individual needs. 🌟
This week we have welcomed a new family to our nursery .....

“From the moment we first contacted, Amanda has been welcoming and down to earth to accommodate my little boy. We were offered three days of settling sessions for my 8 months old baby Oskar and we were very happy as we believe the sessions are very important for building a bond with staff and for children to adjust gradually. I was very anxious and nervous however for the first instant Jemima made us feel at home and part of the family and all my worries disappeared on the first settling session hour, especially when she assured me that they will do the same as we do at home, that is just great to hear and is much appreciated. I could see that my little boy was feeling happy, confident, and excited to play and explore. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, creating a stress-free transition through personalised approaches, open communication, and the formation of strong attachments. I was informed through the day with detailed feedback and made me feel reassured. Oskar created a lovely bond with his key person from the first day and is lovely to see that he likes her and will be in good hands. He was also comfortable and happy with Laura on his last settling session and had a great morning. I am confident that my little baby will have the best time at Tenderlinks nursery surrounded by great people and friends. ✨ Fairy Gardens and the Planet of the Snakes! ✨
Our curious pre-schoolers at Tenderlinks Godalming have been letting their imaginations run wild! 🌈
They created a Planet of the Snakes 🐍 and a beautiful Fairy Garden 🧚‍♀️— two magical worlds brought to life through creativity and teamwork.
To finish off their adventure, they extended their learning with some Gruffalo Crumble — a fun sensory and storytelling experience that brought lots of smiles (and a few sticky fingers!). 💛

✨ What a week at Tenderlinks Elstead! ✨
Our children have been busy exploring, discovering, and learning through their own wonderful curiosities. 🧠💫

🐄 We learnt how to milk animals — goats, cows, and even camels!
🍂 Took autumn walks, listening to the crunch of golden leaves under our feet.
🪔 Celebrated Diwali and talked about the importance of brushing our teeth!
🫖 And to top it all off, we hosted a sweet afternoon tea, making our own jam sandwiches and enjoying them from our best china. 💛

Every day at Elstead is an adventure in learning and laughter! 🌿

Our little ones had a wonderful time celebrating the Festival of Lights — making their own diyas, creating colourful rangoli patterns, and listening to the story of Diwali. 🌈💛

We ended the day with smiles, laughter, and a lovely tea party! 🎉☕️

🍂 Learning Through Play at Tenderlinks Godalming! 🌈

Our little learners have been busy strengthening their fine motor and early maths skills! The children carefully threaded colourful beads onto rainbow pipe cleaners — some even challenged themselves to match the bead colours to the pipe cleaners. Once their creations were complete, they proudly counted how many beads they had!

Out in the garden, the fun continued as they raced around collecting beautiful autumn leaves to create an autumn tree in our tuff tray. This led to wonderful conversations about the different parts of a tree, building on what we learned during our Forest School adventures. 🌳✨

It may be autumn, but there’s never a wrong time for ice cream at Tenderlinks Elstead!
This week, following a child’s interest led us to an unexpected (and very delicious) learning opportunity. When Millie showed a spark of excitement, we set up an ice cream station—right in the middle of play!
With scoops, sprinkles, and plenty of imagination, Millie created her own tasty treats while engaging in rich mathematical language modelled by her teacher. She even took it a step further, deciding to “sell” each ice cream for £1—what a budding entrepreneur!
Moments like these show the magic of child-led learning: fun, meaningful, and full of development.

🍂 A New Term at Elstead Tenderlinks 🍂

As we welcome both new friends and familiar faces returning after the summer break, we’ve also been embracing the change in seasons here at Elstead Tenderlinks.

With wellies on, the children explored the forest, noticing the beautiful autumn colours and spotting plenty of wildlife - from a frog hiding under a log 🐸 to playful squirrels leaping through the trees 🐿️

Back at nursery, they’ve loved discovering our new invitations to play and learn, experimenting with fresh tools and materials that spark curiosity and creativity.

A wonderful start to the Autumn Term, full of joy, exploration, and new beginnings 🍁✨

Our pre-schoolers and toddlers had an unforgettable adventure at the Natural History Museum in London! From towering dinosaurs to fascinating prehistoric sea creatures, the children were wide-eyed with wonder as they explored the ancient world. 🌊🦖

It was a day full of discovery, learning, and lots of little roars! 🐾📚

Sizzling Sensory Summer at Godalming! We are having such a busy Summer, making the most of the warm weather with lots of water and sand play and enjoying being out in our local area.
We have been for park visits, duck pond picnics, we have made our own ice cream, fridge tarts, cupcakes and muffins and celebrated going on holiday’s with our family’s or just spending long summer day’s in the garden.
We have enjoyed messy play, construction and mark making in the sunshine, along with construction. The summer has also been bittersweet because we have said goodbye to lots of our friends leaving us to go off to big school and we have said hello to some new babies who are going to be starting with us in September. We will be sad to see the end of the summer but we have made every day count and we look forward to the crisp Autumn days with the leaves gently falling off of our big sycamore tree...

🐄🐖🚜 Farmyard Fun at Elstead! 🚜🐖🐄

Hedgehogs class had an absolute blast diving into the world of farms, animals, and exciting textures! 🌾📚

We set the stage for a fantastic farmyard adventure with a specially crafted tuff tray. Filled with soil, hay, and lush green grass, it was the perfect playground for our little explorers. 🚜🌿

Amidst the miniature farm animals like cows, pigs, sheep, and horses, the children discovered the joys of sensory play. They loved getting their hands into the soil, pushing tractors through the terrain, and making delightful messes. 🌟🐑🌱

A special thanks to the kind soul who gifted us these wonderful animal books. 📖🙌

We wrapped up this exciting day by sharing stories and identifying animals from the books. Their faces lit up as they named each farm friend. 📚👫

🌌🚀 Exploring the Universe at Tenderlinks Nurseries 🚀🌌

Space day 🌙 was an interstellar adventure for our curious toddlers! 🌠

Inspired by their fascination with rockets, we embarked on a cosmic journey with a variety of space-themed activities. 🚀🌌

🌙 The children delved into the space theme tuff tray, marveling at the textures of space sand and naming the celestial wonders they encountered. They even crafted their own lunar masterpieces using tin foil, just like they saw in the tray. 🌕🪐

🌙 Another tuff tray beckoned with glittery black sand adorned with planets, stars, and cosmic treasures. Little explorers reveled in the sensory delight, creating patterns in the sand with toy cars and sharing their celestial observations. Each child had the chance to craft their unique moon from tin foil, adding texture to their celestial artistry. 🌌🌠

🌙 The twinkling stars in our nursery, like Sebastian, serenaded the cosmos with "Twinkle, Twinkle," igniting a harmonious chorus of young voices. The thrill of burying planets beneath the sandy surface and uncovering them again added an element of cosmic hide-and-seek to the day's discoveries. 🌟🪐

As the day unfolded, the children eagerly dipped tin foil into paint, creating mesmerizing patterns on paper. Their artwork, a testament to their cosmic explorations, is sure to dazzle tonight. 🎨🌠

🎭✨ Exploring Emotions at Elstead ✨🎭

We're thrilled to introduce our brand-new "Feelings Station" at Elstead Nursery! 🌟

Starting this week, the children have an engaging learning station centered around understanding and expressing their emotions. 🧡💙💚

When they arrive in the morning, each child selects a token that reflects how they are feeling and places it in the corresponding color bowl. It's a wonderful way for them to communicate their emotions right from the start of the day. 😊🌞

Throughout the day, if they ever feel sad, angry, or tired and need a little extra cuddle or support, they can pick another token and bring it to one of our teachers. 🤗❤️

This dedicated learning area is designed to help our little ones grasp that it's absolutely okay to feel various emotions. It provides them with the reassurance that they'll be supported through these feelings and equips them with valuable tools for self-regulation. 🌈🧸

We're excited to embark on this emotional journey together! ❤️✨
