Today the children enjoyed exploring our small world people and family figures, creating their own stories and scenarios through imaginative play. They used the figures to represent different people, families and members of the community, developing their communication and storytelling skills as they played.

Small world play helps children make sense of the world around them, encouraging creativity, language development and an understanding that every person is unique. Through their play, the children shared ideas, acted out everyday experiences and built meaningful connections with the people and communities they see around them.

πŸžπŸ•·οΈ Minibeast Explorers πŸ•·οΈπŸž

Today the children became little scientists as they investigated a variety of minibeasts and insects. Using natural materials and identification cards, they explored different creatures, discussed their features and discovered where they might live.

Activities like this encourage curiosity about the natural world while developing observation skills, language and early scientific thinking.

There were lots of exciting discoveries as the children carefully examined each minibeast and shared what they already knew about them.

🌱 Getting Our Hands Dirty! 🌱

The children enjoyed a wonderful planting activity as they explored soil, compost and growing plants. They carefully filled their baskets with compost, dug holes and planted new flowers, learning first-hand how we care for living things.

Gardening activities help children develop fine motor skills, patience and responsibility while encouraging an understanding of the natural world and how plants grow.

We can't wait to watch our plants flourish over the coming weeks! 🌼🌿
