Year 4 ROCKED TTRS Day! 🤘

What a fantastic day of times tables and maths fun Year 4 had yesterday!

We use Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS), an award-winning maths learning platform where children can practise their times tables like a rock star! The more they practise, the more points they earn to customise their TTRS avatar and turn them into their very own rock star.

So, we decided to bring TTRS to life and become real-life rock stars for the day!

There were brilliant outfits, crazy hair, sunglasses and plenty of sparkle! The children had great fun taking part in TTRS battles, challenging their classmates and trying to beat their scores – and, of course, we had to have our very own rock-star concert too! 🎸

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our afternoon session.

Well done, Year 4 – you absolutely ROCKED it! ⭐🎸🤘

Join us for our Open Evening on Wednesday 7th October, from 6:30–7:30pm. It is a lovely opportunity to see the school, hear from our headteacher, discover what we can offer your child and ask any questions you may have.

We ran out of time at the end of term to post about our wonderful Year 6 leavers, but we couldn’t let this special moment pass without saying just how proud we are of you all!

It was so lovely watching you grow and seeing all that you achieved during your time with us. And now it’s time for your next adventure as you head off to secondary school and begin Year 7 tomorrow!

We hope you have a fantastic first day, settle in well and enjoy all the new experiences and opportunities ahead.

We’ll miss seeing your faces, but we’re so excited for everything that lies ahead for you. We’ll be thinking of you all tomorrow and wishing you all the luck in the world — you’re going to be brilliant! 💛

Speaking of recent heatwaves... We are delighted to share that we have been awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag, with distinction, for our work in the Eco Committee. This year, we've focused on biodiversity in our grounds, energy conservation and making transport more sustainable.

Our children are committed to helping our planet 🌍 by doing all they can to halt and reverse climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution, and we are SO proud of them! 👏🏽

📣 Hot Weather Update - Early Collection Option 📣

Due to the high temperatures, we have made the decision to allow parents and carers to collect their children from school at 1:00pm today and tomorrow should they wish to do so.

We will remain open, with measures in place to keep children comfortable and safe in the heat.

☀️ Hot Weather Update ☀️

We are continuing to monitor the hot weather closely and are making adaptations throughout the school day to help keep children safe and comfortable. This includes cancelling PE lessons, moving children from particularly warm classrooms into cooler, air-conditioned rooms, keeping children indoors at lunchtime, and adapting activities where needed.

All after-school clubs are cancelled this week, with the exception of ActivSports clubs. We have been in contact with the provider, and all ActivSports sports sessions will take place in the hall and be adapted to ensure activities remain low-intensity.

How you can help:
- Send a named water bottle every day.
- Provide a named sun hat.
- Apply sunscreen before school and send in a named, nut-free sunscreen for reapplication if required.
- Children may wear their PE kit and sandals to school if these are cooler and more comfortable than their school uniform.

Please keep an eye on school communications as we continue to review the situation and will send updates as needed

Our Loseley Fields choir sounded amazing at Choir BLAST yesterday! 🎶✨

We are incredibly proud of every single one of them and the fantastic performance they gave.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to watch and support them. Your encouragement means so much.

And an even bigger shout-out to all the wonderful people who work so hard to make happen. It’s such a fantastic event, and we love being a small part of it each year! 💙🎵
