🎃🍁 Autumn Adventures at Tenderlinks Streatham 🍎✨

At Tenderlinks Nurseries Streatham, we’ve been diving into autumn in the most hands-on way! Our little ones tried their hand at pumpkin carving, exploring all the different textures – from the smooth skin to the gooey insides. It was a delight watching them dig in with such curiosity!

The fun didn’t stop there! They also enjoyed some sensory play with autumn-colored rice and tried their hand at apple printing. 🍏🍂 The kids loved stamping their apples into paint and making beautiful seasonal prints.

We’re so excited to embrace these seasonal activities that bring out creativity and sensory exploration. Thank you for letting us be part of your children’s learning journey! 💛

🌾 Harvest Festival Celebrations at Tenderlinks Streatham 🌾

We had a wonderful time celebrating Harvest Festival! A huge thank you to our incredible families for their generous food donations to support the local food bank. Your kindness and community spirit make all the difference. 💚

This autumn has brought us so many exciting activities! The children have been exploring maths concepts with pumpkins, and we even got hands-on in the kitchen, creating yummy homemade pizzas! 🍕

Our cultivation lesson took us to the park, where we collected plenty of colorful leaves to bring back to nursery for a beautiful seasonal collage. The children have been captivated by the colors and textures of autumn! 🍁🍂

Over the past few weeks, our amazing families have been supporting the local community by donating food to the local food bank. 🥫🍞

Today, some of our preschool children had the special job of delivering the goods to our local church, ready for distribution. We want to extend a huge thank you to all our wonderful families for their generosity! 💛

🍂 Autumn Adventures at Tenderlinks Elstead 🍂

“In the words of Winnie the Pooh, ‘As soon as we saw you, we knew an adventure was going to happen.’” 🧸✨

Autumn is making its grand entrance here at Tenderlinks Elstead! The children have been busy collecting bucket loads of conkers 🌰, and the scent of cinnamon and pumpkin spice fills the air 🎃🍁. We’re soaking in all the magic this beautiful season has to offer!

🌳 Forest School with Lee! 🌳

We’re back with our exciting Forest School sessions led by the wonderful Lee from Surrey Hills Forest School! 🌲🔨 Every session is an adventure, and yes, you’ll see children using hammers and saws to create amazing things from nature — all under close supervision, of course! 🛠️

Through risky play, our little explorers are building confidence, independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills. 💪✨

This week, we went on a treasure hunt for fallen acorns from the oak trees 🌳, and we found plenty of pinecones too! After collecting enough, Lee helped us turn them into little people – some even had swings! 🧚‍♂️🌰

We also found a big, hairy caterpillar 🐛 and some bugs under the logs, and some of us enjoyed a relaxing swing in the hammock, watching the world go by. 😌 We had loads of fun with our hammers and nails, and even tried out the binoculars for a closer look at nature. 🔍👀

We can’t wait for the next adventure! 🌿

Gold, Silver, and Sparkle! ✨🔔

We explored a magical tray full of shiny gold and silver treasures! From rustling golden-yellow cellophane to rattly shiny pebbles, the sensory adventure was full of sounds and sparkles. The little ones loved tapping on metal pot lids and shiny bottle caps to hear the different sounds—one went “ting, ting” like a little bell, and the other went “bong, bong!” The children were captivated by the mirrored and metallic surfaces, as well as the various textures and noises. What a sparkling sensory journey!

Puddle Fun Inspired by Winnie the Pooh 🌧️🐻

As the wise Winnie the Pooh once said, “When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles!”—and that’s exactly what we did at Elstead! We embraced the rain, splashed in the puddles, and certainly got wet, but it was all worth it for the fun and laughter we shared. The best memories are made when we follow the joy of the moment!

Elstead: Welcoming New Babies to Our Tenderlinks Family 👶✨

This week, we joyfully welcomed several new babies into our Tenderlinks family at Elstead. We couldn’t be prouder of how beautifully they have settled in! Our newest little ones have been busy exploring the many exciting learning opportunities we’ve created for them, while also forming sweet friendships and strong bonds with their teachers. It’s been a heartwarming start to their journey with us!

Play Dough and Roses 🌹🎨

Today, at Tenderlinks Godalming, our Toddlers enjoyed a delightful sensory experience with rose play dough! Miss Knol brought in some beautiful red roses, and we had so much fun using the petals and heads in our play.

The pink play dough, scented with rose water, smelled absolutely lovely—we all took a good sniff and couldn’t get enough of the fragrance. Along with the dough and roses, we explored shapes, rolled out patterns with rolling pins, and used a roller cutter. The petals were so fascinating that we squished them right into the dough, creating our own little masterpieces!

Imagination Unleashed 🌟🧠

Some might see this as a mess, but at Elstead Tenderlinks, we see it as pure imagination at work! Children’s creativity is the most powerful tool they possess—it’s the key to unlocking their dreams.

Here, you can see the creation of a bird’s nest, the bird’s nest station, and the makings of a delicious pudding in this little girl’s restaurant. Their world, their rules!

Sensory Spa Day 💆‍♀️🌿 ELSTEAD

Who needs to pay a fortune for a spa day when you can come to Tenderlinks ELSTEAD?

What started off as a completely different activity turned into a delightful sensory experience with a clay massage! The children loved the brilliant noise of the squelchy, squirty clay and enjoyed the softness of hair conditioner mixed in the water. A day of unexpected relaxation and sensory fun!

Cupcake Fun 🍰🎨

Tenderlinks Nurseries

The children had a fantastic time today putting together cupcakes while exploring our messy tray. They practiced their pincer grip skills by using big tongs and tweezers to fill cupcake cases with colorful pasta. It was a delightful blend of fun and learning, with plenty of roleplaying and creativity on display!

Godalming: Scented Ice Play 🌿❄️

This morning, we had an enchanting ice play session! We found some lovely scented plants in the garden—mint, honeysuckle, and lavender—along with some pretty pink and purple flowers, and froze them in ice.

The older babies were instantly captivated as we placed the colorful ice on a mirrored tray. Everyone bravely touched the cold, cold ice, repeatedly saying the words “Cold” and “Wet.” Some children were more drawn to the scents, pressing their noses close to the ice to take big sniffs, and rubbing their fingers in the puddles as the ice melted.

We all delighted in the vibrant colors of green mint, purple lavender, and pink flowers encased in the ice. There were lots of chuckles, oooos, and ahhhs as the children explored this sensory experience.

Chilling Out with Our Little Ones at Godalming ✨

This Friday, as we eagerly await the arrival of our new sensory room equipment, we wrapped up the week in our cozy chill-out zone! 🌟🧘‍♀️💫

Equipped with a Pikler Triangle, a space blanket, comfy cushions, soothing music, twinkling lights, and funky sensory toys, our babies had a blast! They explored the toys inside the den and marveled at the lights reflecting off the shiny foil. ✨🪅

The creativity didn’t stop there; scenes for Playmobil characters were beautifully crafted, and a thrilling bug hunt added an extra dash of excitement! 🐜🌳

Come rain or shine, our little explorers proved that there’s no such thing as bad weather—just bad clothing! 💧☔️ We firmly believe in the magic of learning outdoors, embracing every season. The joy captured in these moments is truly priceless. 🌈✨

🍏🌳🚜 Exploring Apple Tree Farm! 🚜🌳🍏

Today in Squirrels, Jonah's curiosity led us on a fantastic farm adventure! 🤠 We decided to create our own bustling animal farm, providing our little explorers with exciting opportunities to learn and play. 🐄🐖🐓

Our engaging tuff tray was filled with various textures and farm animals, sparking lively conversations about the animals, their unique sounds, and what they contribute to our lives.

As we played and talked, we shared stories of past farm visits and the animals we encountered. Laughter and cheerful animal impressions filled the air! This activity encouraged teamwork, sharing, and joyful expression among the children.

After our farmyard adventure, we gathered for circle time, where we sang farm-themed songs and enjoyed the delightful story of 'The Runaway Tractor.' It was a day brimming with learning and laughter, showing once again that at Tenderlinks Godalming, we explore, learn, and grow together! 😄📚

🦖🌋 Sensory Adventure with Squirrels! 🦕🌋

Last Friday, our inquisitive Squirrels at Tenderlinks Godalming embarked on an epic sensory journey that took them back to the time of dinosaurs and fiery volcanoes! 🦖🌋✨

Our mission was to make learning fun and engaging while igniting a spark for mathematics. We designed a sensory wonderland with a tuff tray filled with an array of captivating textures. Counting dinosaurs became a gateway for discussing their unique characteristics, from long necks to massive tails and four sturdy legs. 🦕📚💬

Within the tray, they discovered the delights of sand, the wonder of shaving foam, the charm of wooden slices, the intrigue of grassy pebbles, and the crinkly joy of tissue paper. It was a sensory feast that let them explore colors, textures, and spatial relationships. The atmosphere was filled with laughter as they delved into the foamy fun. Some were enchanted by the dinosaurs and volcanoes, while others reveled in the sensory symphony. Through imaginative play and rich conversations, our Squirrels learned and grew together. 🤗❤️

Oh, what a delightful autumn surprise it's been! The unusually warm weather has allowed our little adventurers to squeeze in some late-season beach visits. 🌅✨

They've returned to the nursery, brimming with excitement, ready to share their sandy tales with us. 🏄‍♀️🌊

In the spirit of keeping those beachy vibes alive, we transformed our garden into a sandy oasis with a tuff tray beach scene. 🏝️🐚
