This groups is open to anyone irrespective of their sexual preferences, gender, race or age. This group is also about promoting equality within the college, across all levels whether your're an HE or FE Student. Just to address something we have seen in the news, we encourage those who are attending the protest next week to NOT bring signs that could insinuate or be twisted to be shown as death threats or threats of any kind towards the government, politicians or transphobes.
We understand wholeheartedly that the trans community is angry and fed up with TERFS and their transphobic rhetoric, but signs such as the one that was seen in Glasgow only encourage the TERFS to continue and spread this behaviour and make them seem justified in their views and actions towards the community.

Our Prime Minister is planning to block legislation that would change the lives of Scottish transgender individuals forever and, by doing so, the Government is proving once again that they do not see transgender individuals as humans. Hartpury LGBTQ+ society refuses to stand quietly by and let this legislation be blocked. Join us in our Trans Rights protest on the 1st February from 11am - 2pm, meeting up outside Sainsbury’s on St Ann Way. 🌈

Hartpury LGBTQ Society sends out their condolences and love to the families of those who died in the Club Q shooting last Sunday and the ones who were injured. This tragedy should never have happened and hopefully the person who committed this crime will face justice.
