The last 24 hours have been all about Apprenticeships and what a brilliant reminder of the impact they continue to have.
Last night we had the pleasure of hosting an Apprenticeship Roadshow in partnership with Gloucestershire Wiltshire Partnership at Archway School Stroud in Stroud. We brought together an inspiring panel of apprentices, employers and training providers, and the audience didn’t hold back with their questions, including:
• Where’s the best place to find Apprenticeship opportunities
• How to understand which training providers deliver which standards
• Whether choosing an Apprenticeship means missing out compared to friends going to university
Then today our Enterprise Co-ordinator and South West Apprentice Ambassador Network Rob was in London for the Apprentice Ambassador Network conference at the Kia Oval. Reflecting on the impact of the work over the past year and hear what’s coming next for the Apprenticeship landscape.
Apprenticeships are only going to grow. If you’d like to help raise their profile across Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, we’d love to connect.

This week our Enterprise Co-ordinator Rob has been out and about in Gloucestershire this week in his role as an Apprentice ambassador with South West Apprentice Ambassador Network
On Tuesday morning, he visited Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre to chat with Year 12 students about apprenticeships.
Then in the evening, hosting the Apprenticeship Roadshow with Gloucestershire and Wiltshire partnership at AccXel Construction School. A brilliant event with apprentices, employers and training providers all sharing their experiences and advice. It really helps young people (and their parents!) understand the apprenticeship route.
Then Thursday, heading over to Farmor's School for another session with Year 12s, giving them honest, practical info about apprenticeship standards, how to find vacancies, and how the application process works.
A busy few days, but always worth it to support students as they explore their next steps!
