Thank you to everyone that came to our annual Golf Day in memory of Hugh!

You are invited to attend the Hugh Jansen Golf Memorial Day and BBQ (Year 6!) on Sunday 10th June 2018 to celebrate the life of our ex-colleague and friend called Hugh Jansen who sadly died of cancer on the 14th August 2012.

For all new staff who didn’t know Hugh, he was an inspirational man and charismatic History teacher at the Academy who students, staff and parents adored. He taught at Christ College for many years and then the first year and a half of the Academy, before he sadly died.

To celebrate his life, every year we hold a small gathering to play golf at Rodway Hill Golf Club in Highnam, followed by a few drinks / BBQ. This is an opportunity for family members, friends, ex-students, ex-staff and current staff to meet and celebrate Hugh’s life. All abilities welcome! If you don’t fancy playing golf, then why not just come for the gathering afterwards!

It would be great if you could come along on the day. Details are below. Each year all proceeds raised go to Jansen Fund, which the Jansen Family created to support student winners of the Jansen Award at All Saints’ Academy. Each year a cheque of £100 will be awarded to the student who wins the Jansen Award alongside the Trophy.

Where: Rodway Hill Golf Course, Newent Road, Highnam, Gloucester, GL2 8DR
When: Sunday 1oth June 2018
Arrive: 9.30am (All abilities welcome and anyone can play!) (First tee off - 10am)

Cost: Approx £15 (food and drinks can be ordered from the bar afterwards)
Prizes: There will be a trophy for the winner, which will be presented by someone from the Jansen family. There will also be a ‘closest to the pin’ and ‘longest drive’ prizes.
For those who don’t want to play: Join in the gathering / BBQ from 1.30pm
