The adventures of Sweet Peas 🌸 and Tulips 🌷
They got to ride the bus 🚌 into town then it was off to explore the new library 📚 where they signed up to borrow some books to bring back to nursery to share with their friends at story time. They also had time to visit the cathedral and enjoy their snack in the grounds before heading back for lunch and a sleep 😴 what a busy morning.

Sweet Peas 🌸 & Tulips🌷 Thursday fun at the park 😀
The children were super at holding hands, listening to the grown ups and crossing the road safely 🚸 They had great fun swinging, sliding and climbing.

Urgent Collection for Gloucestershire Bundles

They have been inundated with referrals from midwives for essentials for unborn children and are desperately looking for the items below. We really want to help as much as we can. Please drop any donations to the office by Wednesday 26th August.

☀️⛱️Summer Fun ⛱️☀️

Bluebells 🪻
The babies have been rescuing wiggly worms 🪱 from muddy puddles tuff tray. They have enjoyed a beach 🏖️ ⛱️ foam party with the splash mat trying to keep nice and cool.
A wonderful trip to see the boats 🚤🛥️🚣🏼 on the canal finished off with a babyccino at Costa. They have painted elephant 🐘 masks for world elephant day.
Babies were delighted to receive a letter ✉️ from Buckingham Palace 👑🫅🏼💂🏼
They have been on a trip to Asda where they bought ingredients to make Peppa pig 🐷 muddy puddle cakes.
They have been enjoying lots of physical activity Harriet created a wonderful obstacle course with the soft play blocks and the peanut ball..

Sweet Peas 🌸 & Tulips 🌷
Have joined together for the summer making new friends and having fun 😊
They have been channelling their inner Picasso painting 🖌️🎨 sunflowers 🌻and for owl 🦉 appreciation day they read the story Owl Babies and made some owls using different resources.
They have been developing their imagination pretending to be builders 👷🏼🧑🏼‍🔧🚧🏗️🧱🛠️ they mixed shaving foam and sand together to make some cement and the children were using the foam blocks to make towers. Of course there has been lots of water 💦 🌊 play to keep us cool; splash pad, water painting, pouring and filling in the water tray, making a slide with the guttering for the cars and little people to wizz down into the water.

Sunflowers 🌻
Pre school have had trips to the local park, playing on the swings, climbing frame and slide. They played garden games, hide & seek and tag.
Kirsty and Zoe hosted sunflowers sports day 🏀🎾⚽ they did bean bags races, sack races, hula hoop and animal yoga.
To relax they then had a spa day soaking their feet 👣🫧💦 in bubbly water while listening to spa music.
They learnt about the solar eclipse and they made earth 🌎 sun ☀️ and moon 🌙🌝 pictures.
The magnetic 🧲 letters have been popular the children have been recognising letters from their names.

Poppies 🏵️
The children have been engaging in lots of pretend play, a favourite is being hairdressers 💇🏼🪮💈and making Lily's hair look beautiful!
In the garden they have enjoyed water 💦 fights, paddling in the tuff tray & picnic tea.
They have spoken about the eclipse ☀️🌙 and today the children voted for a story about rainbows 🌈 and this led on to an activity with the sweets skittles getting them wet and watching the colours run into each other.

This week we have our newest member of Bluebells 🪻Izzy

What a fantastic day Sweet Peas 🌸 and Tulips 🌷 have had.
Starting with a walk to ASDA, the children were talking about all the things they could see and hear on the way.
When they got to ASDA they got out their shopping list to buy some ingredients to bake cakes 🧁
On the way back they stopped to have some snack before playing at the park 😀
The fun didn't stop there this afternoon they made some cakes and decorated them.

What a wonderful year it has been 🌟 We are so incredibly proud of all our little learners as they wrap up their time with us and prepare for their next big adventure at "big school" 🏫 From messy play to and arts and crafts to outdoor adventures and new friendships, it has been a joy watching your little ones grow and learn every single day 🎨🧸
To our leavers 🎓: keep shining bright and to all our returning friends 🙂: we can't wait to see you in the new term. Thank you to our amazing nursery team for your endless patience, care and dedication. Wishing all our families a fantastic and restful summer break! ☀️
