Growing, learning & playing together 🌱 a peek 👀 into our recent activities at nursery
Bluebells 🪻
The children have been exploring a range of sensory activities dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 in gloop, creating leaf 🌿 paintings 🖌️ pushing cars 🚗🚙 through shaving foam, water 💦 painting outside & mark making with chalk. They have been learning a new song 🎼🎵called 'I've got something in my bucket' 🪣
Tulips 🌷
Have been collecting leaves 🍂🍃 in the garden to do leaf painting 🖌️🎨 practising our fine motor skills with a tweezers tuff tray and using scissors ✂️ with the play dough. We have been engaging in lots of mark making using paintbrushes in the sand & conditioner, chalks outside. We did a number hunt in the garden with Emma. We really enjoyed the story 'Under the sea' about a whales birthday 🎂🎈 party we then went on to create a sea tuff tray using blue 🔵 gloop and listened👂🏼 to 🎵Happy Birthday on the Alexa. We then did a floating and sinking activity. We have also been loving the song down in the jungle 🐅🦁🦍🐒 and have been playing with the mud in a tuff tray.
Sweet Peas 🌸
The children loved the book 📚 'Bear Scare' which we have borrowed from the library the children then went on to make paper plate spiders 🕷️🕸️ We have been creating abstract self portraits, looking in the mirror 🪞 and talking about our features and similarities and differences. We have engaged in lots of other mark making activities such as mark making in sand, water 💦 painting 🖌️ & drawing on the whiteboard. We have been using pinecones to build with counting as we go. Our colour basket 🧺 has been filled with lots of red ♥️ 🍒 objects and we have been colour matching with hula hoops.
Sunflowers 🌻
Pre school have been talking about their emotions using the colour monsters 🟣🟠🟡🔵
They have been rescuing the pom poms from the spider web using the tweezers. They have created animal pictures for a display board and have been learning facts about different animals and the sounds they make 🐄🦘🦝🐗 Out in the garden the children have been throwing & catching and playing with the hula hoops. They have also been talking about what they want to be when they grow up.
Poppies 🏵️
Poppies pre school have had great fun in the garden playing duck 🦆 goose 🪿 and what's the time Mr Wolf 🐺
They made biscuits for Lily's birthday 🎈🎂 they have been learning about different sizes while playing with the cars and other vehicles, Lily made a great tuff tray where we matched the number on the car to the parking 🅿️ space. We also played with a car 🚗 wash tuff tray & made junk model vehicles. We have been doing really well 🪥 brushing our teeth with the Big Brush Club 😬 and have been learning about keeping our teeth healthy. Jo created a Goldilocks and the 3 bears 🐻🐻🐻 tuff tray for us with hidden letters 🔠
Both pre school groups have enjoyed having Aneesa back for her brilliant Robot 🤖 Reg phonics sessions.
